I'm a GBP fan but love every game I can watch. I was watching this game and I saw the play and then the one replay, I knew he was really hurt but never dreamed it was life threatening. 💔 I started crying the moment they said they were giving him CPR. Like everyone else, I pray for and have hope that he'll get through this and is able to rejoin the game he loves.

I also agree as do many dr.s worldwide. But not much interest for investigation here in the US.
Very sad this happened to such a wonderful athlete and human being, and I'm praying like everyone else he pulls through. Regarding the investigation, sadly, something like that would only happen with more of these episodes, and our hearts will break more each time, until we find the courage to fight. We owe it to these young athletes to find out the truth. We're betraying their memory if we don't.

Superb action by sideline EMS, bring defibrillator on to field. Look for electrophysiology study to see if he had a locus of irritability that may have predisposed to v-fib. May need ablation/implantable defibrillator for future events. Way to go Cincinnati medical team! and heavenly prayers.

Its possible but it has never happened in football and this wasn't a particularly hard hit. Hits like this happen 50 or 60 times per game as stated by several players.. Also he wouldn't have gotten up if his heart stopped on impact. Hopefully the medical establishment will examine all possibilities and not just the first one mentioned. That is what scientists are supposed to do. His prior medical condition, medication, medical treatments, are just a few of the many possible contributors that need to be examined before anyone can make an accurate guess of what happened.
