    Loved it. Thank you man. Wish I discovered you earlier!
    I'd like to share a couple of tips too since you are sooo nice to share yours.
    -To draw a line in the exact middle of two other lines, there is a tool called 'angle bisector constraint', which is in the toolbar where you have the offset, parallel, etc. icons. Much faster, less clicks and zooming, and accurate.
    -To find a point on a circle at an exact distance from another point, rather than a line, draw a circle. That will give you that exact point and it's easier to see.
    -To draw the very first fill off the shell while in section, what I do is copy-paste the two shells. That copies them as lines and fills. Select them all, deselect only what you want to retain and you have the perfect shape you need straight from the model. No drafting required, speed and accuracy all in one.
    -I also have drawn the top hole straight in the profiler to avoid cutting a special hole in the shell. By doing that I have kept the exact geometries and was very fast too.
    One thing would be nice, but I don't know if and how that would be possible. I'll try and ask.
    Would be possible to have those cuts always perpendicular to the shell (radio-centric)? ..mmhh..I think it is.. but can't see it a fast modelling though.. would take a while!!
    Cheers and keep it up mate!

      Thanks for all the tips!
      In regards to the - cuts perpendicular to the shell - I did try to come up with a fast way but at the time could not figure out one. Maybe with more "thinking" time there is a solution that is not too slow but I need time for that :) , too busy atm

    Great tutorial. Even if you never need a detailed/decorative dome, this just goes to prove that if you feel you should be able to model something in ARCHICAD, you probably can!

      Thank you , yes this is exactly what I am aiming at with my tutorials. To use the tools you have for other things. The wall tool is not just for walls etc.

    how about those element that divides the dome to be perpendicular to the arch of the dome not parallel to the ground. Because in reality if you put those members suppose you use steel definitely you will attached them perpendicular to the arch. I hope you know what I mean. For graphics the dome is fine, but for constructions there will be adjustments.

      I think I know what you mean and agree, many times in the design process we come up with ideas but then need solutions to actually build it. Thanks for your feedback.

    At 14:00 shouldn’t the beam be perpendicular to the points in the curve? When i try to cut hole like that, for example in a semisphere, the hole get distorted... any way great tutorials

    Also, I wonder if the new curtain wall tool in AC22 makes this easier!?

    • @ASMTechbase
      @ASMTechbase  Před 6 lety

      What I have seen so far not sure, as I have not seen anything " curvy " with the curtain wall tool in any previews . We sure will check it out when ARCHICAD 22 is released, right ? !

    it doesnt show me cutting elemet can anyone help me ?

    • @ASMTechbase
      @ASMTechbase  Před 4 lety

      not sure what exactly you mean but:
      You have to create the cutting element, then but it on a cutting element layer. Saying this , it is just a layer so it could have any name. I just keep them there so I can hide the elemnt I use to cut stuff because usually you don't want to see this element you used to cut. DON'T delete a cutting element or move it, as you will lose the cut.
      Hope this helps.

      but you change the layer of the wall to cutting plane? and that layer cant be found in the default archicad so how do u add those new layers

    • @ASMTechbase
      @ASMTechbase  Před 6 lety +1

      In the layer setting window top right click new. I just called the layer 3D cutting element, it's really just a name, it is not doing anything special. The main thing is to have your SEO operator on a different layer, so you can turn the layer off and on.
