I've watched most of the other level lock videos on CZcams and you are the only one who covers most of these topics. Good for you. Well deserved thumbs up.

If you Apple Homekit user. And have Bolt or Level+ set up that way. I have learned a trick on how to Kinda use both. You Buy a Inexpensive smart plug like Meross that has both Amazon and Homekit and create a trigger that plug activates Lock on or off. So when You use a Amazon command the trigger will work. Now you have Apple homekit commands and echo sys and Alexa voice as well. I mostly prefer for when in Home and want to open lock.

After installing the bolt, I figured out it doesn't work well with Alexa echos or the echo shows (they sorta work but not reliable), I talked to support and it seems only the Ring Door Bell Pro is actually supported, and since I live at apartment and only can use the ring door bell with a battery it won't work with it. But It does support apple HomeKit, So I am using my iPad as my hub since is pretty much stays at home all the time and it actually has more features for the Bolt. I am able to unlock or lock my bolt away from home and is more responsive then. an alert comes on my phone when the door is unlocked or locked. thinking I am going to get a mini HomePod to be the hub instead so when I do need to take my iPad with me, it still has all the features. but way more happy with the bolt now.

May I know if your Level Bolt has ever become unresponsive in the Alexa app? Mine keeps becoming unresponsive after the first 10 minutes after installation/pairing/linking. The lock status is shown correctly in the Alexa app for the first 10 minutes, but it always becomes unresponsive.

Why couldn’t they make it so you hold the phone up to the lock and it unlock it?

What version of Echo device do you use to interface with the Level Bolt? I am attempting to interface with an Echo Dot 5th Gen, and although I can connect, when I look in Devices then Locks, it reports "device is unresponsive", just like John Chen's experience in your "5 things I learned about Level Bolt - 1 month review"
