It's interesting but there is something different about Aurora's tone here, which I love. There's a deeper timbre that feels more melancholic, and speaks to me of sheer pain at the dilemma we're in, with our planet. It reminds me of when she was a little poorly for the VEVO performance of 'The Seed' she did a few years ago and it made it even more emotional because her voice sounded like it does after you've been crying for hours. Last of all, thanks for posting this Isaac! I'm a diehard Aurora listener and was very sad when I couldn't find the live stream for this anywhere. Does anyone know if she performed just the one song?
@@stevek7699 Yes it could be that! She's very versatile too. She can take on many different tones, which you can hear especially in this song, with her transition from deep notes in the bridge to that very high note in the climax. I can't wait to hear how her sound has developed in the next album!
I have read and heard so many of these reaction videos regarding her. It is really fascinating to see all of them find exactly what they need in her songs, her band, her music but above all her poetry. If they need strength they get that, consolation and inspiration likewise. Her poetry embedded in the music is really so unique. Thank You for what you do for human kind and human kindness!
I can't even began to explain how much she amazes me with her art everytime I see her. Even if it's the same video over and over. I've followed her for years now and I'm still blown away shit. This is one of the best artists of our time I believe.
it seems she singing without reverb on the mic, it loses that heavy ethereal vibe you were probably accustomed too, i think it shows her pretty much on point raw voice

For some reason though this doesn’t feel very authentically her... she doesn’t seem as taken away and in her own space as she usually is... almost playing to the camera more when before it’s like she forgot anyone else was there and because of this I think it’s effecting her sound. Lol unpopular opinion alert. Cue hate.
When she’s sick she has trouble going low, so I don’t think it’s that, maybe she’s training for her next project? Her voice might’ve changed too, that does happen, either naturally or by accident... My favourite singer lost her voice from being sick/overworked, when it came back, it was deeper. But whatever it was, I doubt it was auto tune.
No, her voice sounds much lower in the original National Geographic video too. Maybe she was sick or had allergies since it's spring. My voice gets much deeper when I have allergies. :)

might simply be because she is aging. For a lot of female singers, their voices will naturally get deeper as they get older.
