Mock: TWW After 1968

- Here's a selection of mock idents based on how TWW's identity may have looked if it had never lost its franchise. (Perhaps if its headquarters wasn't in London, it could have done, even though HTV is a better channel in my opinion.)
Not many people have made mocks of TWW. I can only think of a couple. this is probably because TWW could be a bit stroppy when it wanted to so it doesn't really deserve it. Nevertheless, I had a bit of fun making this video and it's the first time I've used VirtualDub and MSU Old Cinema on my idents to make the earlier idents look more authentic.
Fun viewing! Now there's an "alternative history" I've never imagined before, lol. But then I do live in the Westward Television area :D
In my opinion, TWW would be like Ulster and Scottish Television.
3:00 This looked a bit "Carlton"-ish.
Got to say, I find the original TWW theme always gets stuck in my head, and not in a good way. Your "1986" variant is brilliant though. I can imagine that being a fan favourite among LWT, Thames and Grampian.
You're right, but I've literally had nights where I've not been able to sleep because it plays over and over in my head haha.
1:08 why is no one talking about how brilliant the music is?
BBC cymru 1987

2:52 I Just found it in Freeplay Music!
@thepod96 in the universe the video is set in, Carlton bought TWW from united news and media in 2001 so TWW would've used the carlton/generic hybrids between July 2001 and October 2002, but I didn't feel like adding it in, mainly because the ident didn't seem to 'fit' (i.e. in the HTV idents, the heart turns into the HTV V, but that wouldn't work for TWW)
Next Video : A.T.V (Asoccied Televisión) After 1981.
Request:LWT(London Weekend Televison)
These are actually quite good looking idents.
0:36 what is this music.
He must have composed it.
It is a new TWW or HTV music.
This is very good indeed, your idents are convincing.
BBC Cymru! Knew I recognised it. I was going to say S4C.
Do Carlton before 1993 (if Carlton existed from the start instead of Thames)
He never did but I made my own at czcams.com/video/sVtAv1omL1o/video.html
2:52 Very vibey drum music! 🥁🎶🎶😍
How did you make the CGI idents?
Probably used Blender or BluffTitler
No. Hi 👋
It was used in PowerPoint
Not as far fetched as one might imagine. TWW's loss of its franchise is more likely to do with Harold Wilson being criticised by the News of the World (who were shareholders in TWW), the ITA were looking to sacrifice someone, and it was either going to be TWW or STV, and a nod and a wink from Wilson meant it was bye bye TWW.
This is amazing
Can you do southern?
what is the font you used for the ITV 1989 TWW Mock
BRAVO!
Can you do Thames before 1968, Rediffusion after 1968, Central before 1982, TVS after 1993, TVS before 1982, Meridian before 1993, ABC after 1968, Yorkshire Television before 1968, London Weekend Television before 1968, Westcountry before 1993, and Southern after 1982?
Yes
Chaz Hello
...you do realize this channel is dead, right?
1:10 The TWW ident music is the same music our tv ident used!
Do more mocks!!! This is creative, do Resifussion after 1968
It already uploaded or requested by tom read
I’ll make those things as well, Rediffusion included.
Became Thames in 1968.
@michaeljones7465 thank you, captain obvious
Very good
I feel like, especially in the later idents the West of England is neglected similar to how Harlech's name isolated viewers in the West of England.
The bird...The girls...The Big Ben,The boy playing basketball...and the saints.
@sammy18011990 I'll do the ones I can, Southern included.
(Sorry for the late reply, I've been on holiday)
I think these would be real in a world where TWW stayed as an ITV region and HTV would not have existed.
Officially TWW lost their franchise because they had corporate headquarters in London. So, HTV would still have become their successors in 1968.
That is very important for HTV.
All very entertaining, but you have overlooked the fact that TWW stood for Television Wales and WEST - so what part of TWW South has any reference to the WEST of England? When tampering with history, you gotta think these things through...lol
It was the south of Wales.
I love ITV mocks.
3.36 where did you get that template
Cool video
You used the 1998 LWT ident for the 2nd generic ITV look for TWW.
Affirmative.
Can you do more tv mocks and ident remixes?
Yes.
You made a big mistake- The ITV 1980 generic idents had the station names in Palatino Bold Italic font. The font used in this mock for the generic ident doesn't match with the original font.
How did you get that ITV generic?
What's the music at 1:09?
And SpaceX Studios Wales (1978).
@@michaelpardo625 and @Spencer Lent Are you sure?

I’ll do it after Meridian after 2002.
@@alextendo1 can you also do southern too? (If you have some time)
I will.
TVS was bought by Disney.
Abs cbn colors to tww
0:13
It was the familiar, and most-used colours then, representing colour, look at all logos then in the 60-70's, are they all blue-green-red?
Now do the same for Southern Television.
But it is fake, TWW is broadcast in black and white. Not in colour.
that's because itv didn't start airing in color back then
