Love this, armies look fantastic, and your videos are just amazing entertainment. Thank you for the shout out.
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it. So glad they are all done, now I can buy more xD. Was supposed to be finished months ago but you know thst way things keep popping up.
Oh man this is great! I've been real tempted by the small scale stuff so this is super tempting now.... definitely making a list of all this stuff.
Paintjobs look amazing too
Cheers for the share man! Any Idea what army you would go for first?
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth no idea, but those gondorians are real tempting, same as some orcs. Alternatively, might be fun to get some late roman ones and paint then up as arnorians
@@AndurzTalksHobbies Oooo now thats an idea. I completly didnt think of historics! I think if I get more Gondorias ill 3D print them so Im not paying the crazy post brexit shipping costs.
Mind blown... I can't wait to have a go at this! They look so good, nice job! Finally I can have an army of thousands!
I swear I'm the only person who actually paints full detail at small scales. I just find it a bit of a nicer project. Great video by the way
Cheers mate. Yeeeh I just don't have the patience anymore, I wish I did. I think if I was trying to win a competition, I'd give it a bash again.
I bet yours look 100 times better, though
Nice work on these. I think you just like to see massive armies..😁 Was laughing when you wore looking for nuln oil, and crying when i saw you cannot paint the back row. 😁 cheers waiting for the orcs. I think rangers came out the best. Maybe is the green. I can t paint so small. Haha.
Yeeeh I think the rangers too. Might have to buy some more but I want elves and Rohan I think next. Yeh I defos like to see the big battles :D
Love 10mm scale stuff so it's nice to see it getting some love. Colour Forge have brown primer is colour matched to Rhinox Hide. They've become my go to for spray primers these days; better value and their colour matching has been pretty spot on in the five or so that I've tried.
Thank you, I defos plan to do some more. How do colour forge compare to GW? Are they much better I'll definitely check out the Rhinox hide one thank you!
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth I've had a good experience with them, good coverage and smooth coats. Also bigger sized cans than any of the other companies.
@@gorram Cheers for the tip. Ive just ordered the Rhinox hide one. Will give it a try soon!
As I've gotten older I've become more and more enamored with 10mm wargaming as a whole and save the 28mm stuff for skirmish games. I actually just painted up the entire 10mm Copplestone Fellowship + Beorn and Faramir, they're amazing sculpts through and through.
Agreed 28s for skirmish! Ooh nice Ill need to get the fellowship now you have said that! Yeh I have slowly moved towards it, my local club only plays historical games usual 15mm so Ive had a big exposure to it.
This was ace - forgot to comment first time around. Top craic
Thanks man. I just bought a bunch more. Rohan and wargs on the way :😀
This is amazing! I love it!
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it 😀
Welcome to the 10mm LotR family! There's a lot of great 3d models coming out recently for Middle Earth, plus potential for a lot of historical lines that can work for LotR. Planning on some videos soon to show off various options.
Oh brilliant that's great news I really want some more 10mm stuff. Good idea on the historical route I'll defos look into that 😀
Had me laughing when you were looking for that nuln oil mate, embarrassingly relatable 😅
Subbed
Cheers man :). Very disappointed the nuln out turned out to be all crusty haha
I know this video is a year old now but I would love an update on how things are getting along with your other 10mm LOTR minis, looks really good!
Yeh I can only apologise things keep getting in the way. I will 100percent do a new one soon. I've also filmed a 10mm bat rep to edit soon
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth no need to apologise! You should do whatever you want in whatever time is practical. Just wanted to let you know I'm curious 😊
@PataSwe Haha sick man. Yeh I do love the 10mm so it will return!
sweet armies, diving in the bin for the last of the nuln was a chad move, earned a sub there
Woo thanks man. Shame it ended up being a crusty nuln oil
More 10mm please! Much better scale for recreating battles, rather than skirmishes. Don’t worry about stuff drying glossy, just Matt varnish it all at the end.
Cheers man! I've got a 10mm bat rep on the channel and one of my next 3 vids is going to be 10mm mordor.
I once sprayed varnish and it ruined my minis with a frosted coating so I'm a bit scared of it 😆
Awesome video man! 🤩
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it 😀
Top noch job buddy for this crasy scale ! The sculpture is pretty cool for this size . Maybe you will win in tournaments with this 10 mm scale and massive armies ...
Hahaha I could cheat and take the smaller stuff 🤣
Another class video, I too have those exact same problem with GW washes
Thanks man. Someone said I'm not shaking them enough but I swear I do 😆
Halfords make a pretty good selection of brown primers. Can be a bit glossy at times but it is what it is.
Thanks for the tip man I shall defos go have a look!
NOte, I love that you accidentally glued your turntable down
This was a sick vid. Well done. More now.
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it. I'll pick up some more orcs and do another 😀
Great video, 10mm lotr sounds like a blast, I missed battle of 5 armies when it came out but i might have to look it up
It's very hard and expensive these days which is why I went third party. Perhaps one day I'll save enough for a set, I wish I could find mine 😞
This is the coolest thing ive seen in a while! Now im tempted to get some 10 mm lotr armies lol
I'd recommend cobblestone stone if you are starting as there no annoying preparation work 😀
There's something very satisfying about smaller scales. You could also use DBA or HOTT for your small-scale big-battle games!
Yeh, there definitely is. I just bought a tonne of 6mm stuff. Can paint an army in a day lol.
That's true there is a big DBA scene here could try see if anyone's interest haha
Neat and impressive! And yeah as someone who delved into 10 mm but for Warhammer themed Age of Fantasy regiments, I can definetely agree that one shouldn't glue the ranks to bases until done with painting ;). Have you considered doing some 1st Age armies? I feel that scale would be perfect for those huge battles of Noldor against Morgoth.
Thanks! Yeeeeh it would be perfect for 1st age, I think Im going to get the elves and lots of orcs and do some big 1st age battles. Need to find a 10mm Glaurung :P
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth fingers crossed and looking forward to it!
Awesome video again mate! Still unpacking at my new home, so the easterlings will take some time. But they are next on the list
Congrats on the new place man. Yeh moving house is one of the worst things I hated it. Must have moved flat every year I was at uni, nightmare haha.
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth thanks mate. I have 2 weeks of vacation now. So finaly some time to get to the hobby
@@kaluhdaan wooo sounds amazing man I'm super jealous. Hopefully Hobby for me.zoon
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth it is. I hop you find it soon! Tomorrow is unpacking the LOTT time. I gues thursday will be paint time
@@kaluhdaan Woooo. I'm hoping to get a bunch done this weekend.
Didn’t even know this was a thing! Prepping those little guys looks painstaking. They looking freakin awesome though man, definitely awakening something in me 😂
Hahaha I know the feeling I just want it all now. High elves next I think 😀. The ones that come already 6 on a stick are easy so recommend cobblestone to start if you venture in.
Hey dude, Did you notice you missed the wee faces in the second row?
I rarely get so excited about creators uploading. Another fantastic video. Would be interested in trying this when we finally see each other face to face.
Tiny SBG sounds so much fun
Yeh I may just have to give it a bash 😆.
Yes more please I like the 10mm Tolkien stuff.
Will do my man. Elves orcs and rohan I think
Amazing my dude. they look class. Good to see you bin dipping as well :) My favourites are probably the rangers. It looks difficult to get the brush in behind the first rank. how was it to paint? looking forward to the balrog video.
I'd recommend starting with cobblestone as they are already on sticks of 6 much easier to paint and no prep work. Another balrog lol. Yeh I think the rangers came out the best too and they are so simple to paint!
Would be fun to also try out a scaled down game of "War of The Ring" ruleset
That is a great idea. I completely forgot about that set of rules. Hopefully a new release soon
First time watcher. Fucking loved it! Great video mate… now to watch your other videos!
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it. Don't get your hopes up a lot of it is utter mince 😆.Id recommended Mumak or Feifdoms
The Colour Forge Hyrax Brown spray is apparently colour matched to rhinox hide. Haven't gotten around to testing their sprays myself yet so I can't comment on quality though. Fingers crossed this helps.
Oh man you are a hero. I'll look into that thank you!
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth No worries, just hope it works out for you.
I assume it wouldn't look good to just use 28mm scale models and to reduce the size to 10mm?
You know I have thought about that and I don't actually know. I don't think I have the technical skill at 3d printing to figure that out yet. I'd you try it let me know how it goes!
Ahhh yes John in the bin, home from home 😂
Got a mortgage on it
Yep much like heresy this has awoken something in me
-sean
Amen man I am so close to buying the heresy starter
I couldnt find the easterlings :(
Hi man, Sorry I think he stopped casting them since I made the video but if you email him direct he might do some for you.
There are also these STLS now for easterlings
wakesemporium.gumroad.com/l/tjpsk?layout=profile
Also found them here, these might be printed already but Im unsure

What magazine are you looking at, at min 3:20
Hi mate, its white dwarf issue 295
Coffee Table LOTR is a go!
The dream is real!
How did you end up solving for the details of the second rank of Gondor spearmen? Just leave them be or what?
Yeh i just left them don't tell anyone haha. Next time I'll make sure and paint them before basing.
The balrog is made by Varus Miniatures and the Gondorians are by Wakes Emporium, both will expand their ranges in time. Excellent Miniatures don't design anything and they're also one of the worst sellers you can buy from. 3D prints should never come with supports attached the printer should always remove them.
I wish I had seen this before I spend 80quid on them haha. Thanks for the tips I'll add their links to the video when I get home! I'm excited to see the ranges expand I hope elves next 😀
What is this?! LORD OF THE RINGS FOR ANTS? Actually wet myself with that bit! :)
Fucking love zoolander 😆
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth such a class film :)
Any plans to film a 10mm battle report? I’d be intrigued to see that rule set - unless it awakens something inside me ;)
@@tabletopramblings5896 Ooo that's an idea. Let's see if I can manage to get a MESBG one first
21:30 I’ve been there lol.
God its the worst feeling. Almost as bad as spilling a pot of wash
I once drank a sip from my paint water. Mixed it up with my coffee.
@@natewatts195 or washing brushed in my tea haha
The price we pay to paint 100’s…maybe 1’000’s of figures I suppose. I must have 800 25mm LotRs figures at this point. It’s a problem.
@@natewatts195 Amen haha
funny vid
Cheers mate glad you enjoyed it 😀
Nice video mate, good idea with the 10mm models I definitely feel like it gives something a lil different to the skirmish game having big armies facing off..
Yeh I cant wait to give it a go. Ive played huge MESBG battles and although fun they do take forever haha
@@jmaccsarmiesofmiddleearth aye its just the fact that you've got to play all the models individually and lot of time all the troops are needing 6s to kill anything can turn into a war of attrition. 1000 points is the most I think I've played.
@@The.Jam.Merchant Yeh I know exactly what you mean! Need to scale up the rules so your not just rolling 6s :P
