TANKFEST is an event held by the Bovington tank museum over 3 days in June each year. Tankfest features live tank displays, including historic tanks, talks, demonstrations and living history. Visitors can also explore the museum including areas normally not open to the public.
The Bovington Tank Museum houses one of the largest collections of tanks and armoured vehicles in the world. There are over 300 tanks and armoured vehicles on display telling the story of the tank from its origins, through the First and Second World Wars up to the modern day. The Museum runs special events throughout the year including live Tank Action Displays in the Museum’s arena during school holidays and some dates in September. The display includes a number of tanks and informative narration. Facilities The museum offers excellent parking. The display halls are light, modern and spacious, offering free access for wheelchair users around the exhibits. The museum also has a very good restaurant and café area. Activities and living-history events are also offered for children at certain times of the year. The Tank Museum is located in Linsay Rd, Bovington, Dorset BH20 6JG.
