There has to be a stucture deck coming because if you read the new rank 7 it says summon it by using 1 Atlantean or Mermail XYZ. We have two Mermail XYZ already, only 1 is good and 0 Atlantean XYZ. We have to be getting structure deck.
If poseidra’s bounce effect gets negated, you can go into another copy and use it again. This requires you to hard make it, which isn’t too hard anymore
@@tehjefey it really is not or they print new fish mermails. Remember coel only ss fishs... and rn the only good mermail fish is pyke and how many pykes do you play? Probably 1. It is basically a garnet while blockdragon is an extender + searcher in a deck full of rocks while coel would be, in mermail atlantean, in a deck full of aquas and seaserpents with only few targets if you chose to play more garnets. Mby dont play coel in a mermail atlantean deck... play a mermail/atlantean package in a coel deck full of fishs
The Poseidra XYZ looks cool and kinda overpowered. When you consider the Water monsters with non once per turn effects like Atlantean Dragoons and Oyster Meister, the combos for Water decks are gonna be crazy.
@@Renegade77784Also I believe if you wanted to you could summon OG Poseidra using the last effect of the XYZ version since it brings out up to 3 monsters for the requirement. It's unlikely someone will want to use the OG but you could 😅
@Realdeal958 You can summon OG Poseidra with 3 Oyster Meisters (easily milled by the Atlantean and Mermail monsters) Giant Trunade the field, use the Oyster tokens to summon the Link 3 Neptabyss, then use a Water monsters' effect to equip the new spell with the Neptabyss Link's effect to give Poseidra effect protection.
Abyss-sphere/abysslinde combo is ironically an enabler again but as a 1 of’s with this new support to help enable follow ups as a toolbox… the ideas just keep rolling in
since coelacant is pretty much a block dragon for water/fish based deck, it might be get hit by banlist if wter/fish deck gonna make ruckuss in competitive format
Only fish based deck not water/fish. I know it got synergy but how many fishs lvl 4 will you play in a mermail/atlantean deck? Not so many (probably only pyke... and probably only once) so I dont think I will play it because it beeing a garnet + playing more garnets in the deck would be awefull. I would rather add/ss megalo or teus or even leed

Makes me wonder if Phantasm Spiral will get new cards, since I'm pretty sure it's part of the same storyline with Atlanteans and the Fire Kangs. Not saying I want Phantasm Spiral support since that deck's annoying. Maybe do something with "pseudo-Gemini" monsters with Phantasm Spiral cards that are treated as Normal monsters on the field or GY so they work with PS support.
I just dont know what the ceiling looks like on a turn 1 board considering most of the monsters are only really effective going second. This is especially true in MD, considering they dont have Toad. I would have liked for the engine itself to add some interruptions, but it looks like it'll primarily be a pop off Infantry and the equip cards on the opponents turn, outside of the generic water xyz/synchro. It could be interesting if Linkabyss is protecting Gymir or Lancea, but im not sure how viable getting those end pieces would be through the Ice Barrier and Icejade engines.

Also it irks me they are missing 3 cards. This is clearly the SD R but they always have EIGHT new cards, here there's only 5. Where's the other 3?

Honestly Mermail/Atlantean is still a good rogue deck before these supports. These looks so strong. I pray to god no one think up another Moulinglacia hand loop again.

I dont think so. Probably a strong boardbreaker monster but for it to be broken the little "quick effect" is missing and thats fine tbh.
