Happy New Year everyone!
Holidays are over and I am back with my first song of the year.
Short description about the song / composer's thoughts, as usual: My first thought was to make a song very similar to "Lumina" because I wanted to use Shevannai/Elven voice once again in a dramatic way but I ended up doing something far from what I was first imagining .
Some of you might notice, some won't, but I am using a lot of Dminor progressions on my recent songs. Even though this doesn't bother me because it's one of my favorite progressions, some people MIGHT start saying that my music is sounding the same. While I understand that statement the reason why some of my songs might sound similar at some point is merely because I am composing in the same key a lot lately. I'll try to vary in the next ones. As I said, personally it doesn't bother me. I apologize if some of you get bothered or annoyed by it.
The elven words by the end have no special meaning. I was going to write my own meaning to them in the video but I thought that I should let them meaningless so each one of you can imagine your own story behind the words.

In ancient times, in a far away land,
Lost in a forest, forgotten by man,
The whispering trees, they sang a lament,
A prophecy told, is how their song went.
The sun became moon, winter kissed spring,
With no one hear them, did they still sing?
The seasons were passing, in an endless flow,
Green upon gold, wind upon snow.
Silence it came, hushed was the wood,
Until one day, in that forest she stood,
Lost in the beauty, she stumbled and knelt,
Gasping in awe, as the snow it did melt.
Raising her eyes, hardly daring to breathe,
She reached her hand out, touching the trees,
Knowledge it flowed, from forest to heart,
The song then began, the adventure can start.
She must now leave here, to travel with fate,
To seek out the meaning, her destiny can't wait,
The trees standing silent, just a whispering wind,
As a legend is born, and a prophecy begins.

The fantasy genre has been my ultimate obsession for 15 years now. From dragons, elves, griffins, goblins, dwarves, wizards, sorcerers, magic, epic battles, YOU NAME IT!!!!!!
I like the isekai sub-genre of fantasy.

This has nothing to do with elves or Tolkien, but I want vampires to be what they were prior: brutal monsters. They can keep the sensuality and all the other addendums to them, but terrible, blood-drinking nigh stalkers is what I wish they were in popular media. Albeit, the Legacy of Kain vampires are splendid, too.

@@Nokyyyyy Not a bad idea. It feels strange to me, so I'd never do it, but okay. Because to me, a vampire is a monster and monsters, by nature, should be monstrous.
Though it is a bit of a double-standard that I do like my fair share of monstrous races. So *shrug*

While listening to this music. I read some comments. Which made me feel that many of the people here are very good lyricist. Each and everyone's comment gives a beautiful life to this music. I wholeheartedly congratulate to those people and wish to continue their work of writing lyrics.

Benjamin Roark I never read Eragon or any other fantasy series. I guess I was inspired by Dragonland's Under the Grey Banner and the Iron Elves series by Chris Evans (listened to on Audible).

Reminds me of LOTR . There’s a delicate , soothing light tone to this piece. It’s ethereal, beautiful and gently fluid. I love it, thank you.

The prophecy was left, of the Gods coming back.

The prophecy came true,
The Doom of Mandos, alive it were,

The Land was refashioned, the Elves came back,
Enlightened men, with sight-ever far,
The Elves sang, sang of times forgotten,
And so, a prophecy was forged.
The Earth destroyed, a new one came,
Becoming flat, once again.
The Greed of men, halted it were, at such beauty and peace.
Eru Illuvitar, declared that men and elves, the firstborn, shall come back,
And live in peace.
Dwarves, also, long feud forgotten, in the world that would be known,
As the Kingdoms of Manwe, son of Illuvitar.

I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for saying this, but for some strange reason, despite the title _clearly_ saying that this is an elven _prophecy_ , I can't help but hear it as an elven _prayer_ or _mantra_ . The fact that the voice(s) sound so angelic(!) doesn't help my situation one bit! Dx

Fallen in love with this music, it came to me in a very powerful awakening, magical is so real...
I've always found it interesting how sometimes we set out with specific destination in mind for the final product, but our work ends up taking us down a different path, and we end up somewhere vastly different that we first expected--often for the better. I don't compose music, but I write fiction and once upon time even wrote poetry, and some of the best things I ever put to paper were those that led me astray from where I was first going and took me somewhere else by the end.
I'm glad you followed this one to its different end, because it came out beautifully. :)

I am in the middle of creating an old language for my story about these creatures who are half wolf and half elf. This song is actually an ancient Lupin song used when crowning a new king or queen. The chants at the end in Old Lupin speak: "In the meadows, under the moon, surround the bays, with calmness..."
