You got a sub from me for the jasno x50 mods. Not many people making videos on it. Putting some 3 inch tires on the rims would be an interesting video, something I'm thinking about doing to it
I will have more Jansno X50 upgrade content in coming weeks. Why go to narrower tire? Try to increase range?
@@BRichSolution Better range and hopefully also better handling on roads and gravel. I might only go down to 3.5, the suspension might feel pretty rough if you go much smaller
Man I'm so glad you're making content on this bike! I'm about to buy one and mod it.
You will enjoy it
That's genius thanks B Rich!
Glad i can help other owners out
Very interesting video. I have the same bike.
Right on
I did this install on my happyrun g50, but after a few months the secondary battery will not give any power to the bike. Original battery is running through the parallel combiner fine. Tried swapping out the inline switch but still no power from second battery. Battery shows fully charged when plugged into charger. Any thoughts? Is it worth trying a new(possibly better) battery combiner? Is it even possible that one lead burnt out but the other is fine? Or is my second battery just a brick? Any help/insight would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time
Sounds like battery combiner is burnt out. Try pluging in extra battery to factory controller bypassing the combiner to prove battery is okay and combiner is bad
@@BRichSolution thank you I will have to give that a try on my day off this week. Very hopeful it's just the combiner and not the battery lol. Have a great day man!
Hey rich, but in order to remove the extra battery (to recharge) you will need to remove the seats, then unplug and undo the straps. A battery base could have been a good idea right ?
Charge in place or remove battery from pouch and disconnect xt60 connection
Is there still space for the license place holder?
After the battery is installed
Yes, battery is in front of lic plate bracket
I have the same bike as well...
Excellent review!
Where did you find/buy the extra battery and additional harness/wiring?..
See link for all the parts to add extra battery amzn.to/4aNQuIl
Will this setup work on the first x50 model? I’m unable to check the wiring if it’s plug & play like yours.
Yea it works in all the x50s
Just updating. Older model uses T-plug connectors. An adapter T-plug to XT60 connector will be needed for this setup
Hey Rich..Will this process work also on a dual motor/controller?
Yes same process
did you ever consider drilling into the top frame and just installing a regular battery?
I did but single tube the battery mount would not be stable
U need check, new moped E-bike: Hidoes B6!!
Cheap, nice frame and red color and 1200w motor with 1500w peak power
B6 is cool bile but priced for high at $1200-$1300 you can get a lot of other bikes for less. Ridstar Q20 with 20Ah battery peaks 1500w and longer rides then b6
@@BRichSolution yeah but this bike is very high, nice frame and color + in my country worth around $1050
In Poland + 1200w nominal
Does this also give the bike more speed? If so how much? And if not what’s something u could do to give it more speed to at-least high 30
Not more speed but the top speed last long with 2nd battery it does not slow down after 20 miles i can ride over 32 miles before speed is impacted
what type of connector is the battery base? Can you upgrade with another battery that is compatible?
Xt60 connector. It would be difficult to mount another hardshell battery on Jansno x50 frame as there is bot a space and single tube would not be stable
Hello mr. B rich, can you please help me to find a good and proper rear rack for my ebike ridstar Q20, thank you in advance
hard to find a rack that will work with full suspension but link to this cargo rack should work and bolt onto the frame: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DBbK4Cr I will post video of cargo bag Monday that work
Hi, i'm french and discover your channel ! Good job ! I need upgrade my jansno x50 but you use a second battery of 10Ah, i need install a battery of 40Ah, u think it's possible for compatibility with the manufactury battery ? Thanks 💪
Yes, any size 48V battery can be combined with the factory battery 10Ah or 20Ah or 40Ah. The challenge with the 40ah battery will be where the mount it on the frame? Also 40Ah battery will add 8kg of weight
@@BRichSolution Thanks, i will install the battery DIY on the top, so no problem for me 👌
Will you upgrade the brakes?
Will do this weekend
I was going to do the same thing but we can't get that battery in Canada unfortunately. I just bought the 17amp battery and keep the 14amp battery in a backpack as it's light. I guess I could order something similar from China but I don't want my ass burnt from thermal runaway on a battery from the Ho Chi Mihn trail....
