My 2 yr old was saying yesterday " Thank You for the Holy Spirit who gives us direction." When I went to pray to Thank God that He does lead us, the 2 yr old said "you need to take your hands off your life." Whoa. Profound words coming out of such a small boy!! Heard this song featured on the CNN (christian news network) that my memaw was watching and I've been going through a rough patch with my self-identity and my mom dying from liver cancer.
I've been skeptical, but this song is inspiring me to dip my toes back into rebuilding my faith in Jesus. My experience with the church has scorned me, so I'm aiming to build my relationship with Him and Jesus at my own pace and in the way that He wills it.

I just heard this for the first time and it touched me because I am learning this: Let go and Let God!
This song really helped me come back to god. I had been 10 years away from god, flirting with the devil without ever realizing i was straying from god- like a lost sheep, and somewhere along the way i stopped feeling his pressence, i stopped hearing his voice, and i cared more for the material world, putting myself and the world first before god, and gave the devil a way to achor himself into my life.
This past fall i had a tremendous falling out with the very person who had led me down that road away from god, cut themselves from my life, and made me cold turkey stop my addictive behaviors. For months i was in isolation, brought to rock bottom, back to my roots, my mothers house. I lost everything that i thought mattered, and lost a relationship with my grandmother who always tried to save me.
Between my mothers encouragement and this song, i picked up the bible again. 30 minutes every day. I had to time it, there was something fighting in me wanting me to STOP. No matter how difficult it was, i kept reading. 30 minutes, no more, no less. I kept listening to this song, urging me to let go of everything, let go of myself, and give it to god. As a stubborn woman from a long line of stubborn woman- it was one of the most difficult lessons i have ever come to learn.
After days of reading, finally i let go and gave myself over to god completly, crying out in the middle of the night. I felt something fly out of me, and then the holy spirit fill me up with love and comfort-
Suddenly i could feel Him again, and hear him, he had never left my side, not once, even if i had blinded myself to him.
Overnight it was like i became a different woman, or rather, the woman i was 10 years ago before i became lost. My life started changing radically. I yearned for his word, i statted listening entirely to prayer music, god brought friends back into my life, he mended my relationship with my grandmother, and through me he's been working to bring my mother back to his embrace and increase her faith.
For the first time in years, both my mother and i attended church, and we're actively looking for a fellowship to join. My mom wants to increase her faith, and even wants to start a bible study and group for those in their 20's and 30's.
Theres been a radical change in my household, god is no longer a taboo word in our household, and even now i can see his hand working to bring good in our lives, and the lives of others.
Your song helped me to let go and accept jesus back into my life again!

I was literally sobbing in the car last night, asking God for some guidance because I just feel completely lost in my life right now. I rarely turn on the Christian station, but for some reason I decided to turn it on and this was the first song that came on after the commercial that was on when I turned the station on. Not only that, but while this was on I drove by the local florist that had up a sign "God never gives us more than we can handle." I definitely feel you. This past year and a half has been a huge roller coaster for me and I hit my biggest and most devastating low. But God had me in his arms and now I’m on my path of recovery since June and I’m that much stronger for it. Christian worship is a very powerful thing. And the only thing I listen to regularly with every now and again listening to other music.

Call me crazy but this tune sounds a lot like "Heaven on Earth" by Stars Go Dim. I kept singing it wondering why the progression seemed so natural and inspiring. I'm pretty sure a lot of other songs have used this progression too, so your not alone in liking it.
