- How to grow Bougainvillea in small bonsai pot and get more flowers? It's not that difficult to get More flowers on Bougainvillea if we grow them in bigger pots. But, getting more flower could be difficult if we grow them in shallow pot, like Bonsai pot. Here I have provided tips about getting more flowers on Bougainvilleas even after growing them in smaller pots.

Thank you so much for being so kind, appreciated it! They are bit rare...I collected from nursery here in Guwahati. If I am not wrong, they are available in Nurserylive. Please be careful while buying online. I have many bad experiences. It happens as I am from a Tier-2 city, so it always takes time and plants eventually die during the transit.

Really sorry...I haven't tried online because of the cost factor, I get them locally. But I can see many are available on Amazon. Again, unable to recommend any as I haven't tried myself yet :-(

Why do you apply SSP to bougenvillea during flowering?
To get flowers for many more coming days on constant basis..please always start with a lower dose, like 2-3 grams n gradually increase the dose (I have mentioned this in the video already) Or else, some leaves may fall off here n there.
I brought a bleeding heart last month from online and it was went in shock for a few days. Now it got out of the shock but no new growth is showing even after light pruning. What should i do?
It's bit early for Bleeding heart and you would need to wait for some more days. But still, you can apply growth promoter like Super Sonata if you like (1ml in 1 liter water and then spray on leaves). You talk about watering daily or even twice a day. I thought bougainvillea likes a bit of draught especially between each watering (let it completely dry out).
You are right..but when we grow in normal environment, like in a much deeper pot and when we use normal garden soil. But, here we are using only Sand which doesn't retain moisture for very long and dry out quickly. Plus, pot is very shallow..So, they would need water more frequently (specially need to be more careful when flowering). For my other Bougainvillea plants which are in much larger pots, I do almost same way like you said. Thank you for watching :-)

Best time to buy - Well, for me I don't look for time. When I see a good Bougainvillea, I buy at any time of the year. But, you would get better result if you repot in Spring (Feb-March).
But please note, if you repot now, you may not get more flowers as Summer is the growing time. It would start to flower well from August end onwards. If you want to buy flowering Bougainvillea, please do at the mid-end of the August. Maintenance would be required to get flowers on constant basis and please watch this video (czcams.com/video/ZG5c3I9Q89M/video.html) for more info.
