Grass Snake UK Beautiful Reptile in Superb Condition

Spotted this Grass Snake while tidying up the garden.
Really lucky to have seen this so close up and it looked in great health and condition.
According to information on the internet Grass Snakes can grow to about 180cm and females are larger than males.
We would estimate this one be to about a metre.

That's lucky you got to film the snake. I see a lizard by the coast (Yorkshire dales) this week and know one at the campsite believe me.
They all said it must have been a newt, even the campsite owner. I've looked it up today and I was right. I knew I was right, newts don't sunbath😃

Interesting to see a lizard in Yorkshire. We saw some down in cornwall climbing a cliff effortlessly, great to see them. Last time I saw a newt was many many years ago. Quite rare now I believe.
