- The Boys wake up on the banks of the Wenlock River. Marc is still yet to catch a fish so is keen to wet a line... Any guesses how that goes? 😂
Next stop is the Old Telegraph Track for some good old fashion 4wding. Known as one of the most scenic and trecherous track in Australia the boys quickly find out why this is the case. Palm Creek puts them on the edge, literally, but a bit of peer pressure has them taking on the challenge that is quickly becoming harder than the infamous Gunshot Creek..

It was an ARB tank. Very rare manufacturing defect from what we understand... To their credit they replaced it under warranty no questions asked and we haven't had a drama since 👍

This was filmed end of November 2023. Yes there are other options to get down in the creek. They are a short drive away to the left of the crossing.
Them ARB tanks are ment to be bullet proof ! WTF ?
And I have one in my 79 Dualcab.
That was our first thought too… Turned out it wasn’t damage but a tiny manufacturing fault.
To their credit ARB replaced it no questions asked under warranty 👍

Overland travellers had trouble with the long range tank as would be interesting to know if it's the same Brand..
Hey Adam, OLT had the steel Brown Davis tank i believe, they ended up changing it for the Long Ranger Brand. Stevie has the Plastic ARB tank. I have the same plastic one in my 79, no issues at all so far, 4 years old.
Don’t know what olt had but Greg is spot on mine is an arb tank.
It was only 2 trips old and had a tiny pin hole leak. No damage around the leak so can only assume it was a manufacturing defect. To ARBs credit they replaced it for a brand new one no questions asked 👍
@TrueNorthAdventures so you have any idea what the weight saving is over the steel ranks?
I've got to reinforce the ARB support comment. I had a crack in my canopy after 8 years use. ARB replaced it because it was a manufacturing defect. Was very impressed with their support.
@suitinaute tbh I'm not sure what they weigh, but, the ARB plastic tank is 180l, the brown Davis steel tank is 180l also I believe. I'd reckon the plastic is lighter than the steel, and the ARB tank uses factory mounting points, no need to modify anything.
Off course with all of the blood around the place a snapping handbag is coming to finish Mark off, hahahahahahah. Thanks fellas, I always damage myself more than the bush does. hahahahaha. Cheers

Yeh I usually try and do most things myself as well. Combination of knowing what’s been done and how to fix it and just that I enjoy tinkering on my car. This was a bit different though as it was under insurance work so didn’t really have a choice 😪

Had a similar experience with tjm and arb... just 🐒 that don't care, no pride in their work or carefactor that you and your family could end up stranded out in the bush because of dodgy workmanship .
I haven’t had an experience like that at any of the big stores but it’s usually the fault of one worker that just couldn’t be bothered which is unfortunate because all these stores have managment and owners that only want to do the best work. I don’t envy them in the current employment market. Hard to find good help at the moment…
