- 12 Congressmen from the United States have complained to President Joe Biden about India's alleged “dangerous trade-distorting practices”. 12 U.S. lawmakers in a letter to Biden, urged him to file a formal request for consultations with India at the World Trade Organization (WTO). The Congressmen stated that current WTO rules allowed the governments to subsidise up to 10% of the value of commodity production. "However, the Indian government continues to subsidise more than half of the value of production for several commodities, including rice and wheat," they said. Watch this video for more details.

I don't understand, US is asking India to increase the price of wheats so that US farmers also get the opportunity to sell their wheats. But the problem is the buyers are all third world countries that is near bankruptcy. Who would they be able to buy such high priced wheats? India is happy to increase price of wheats since we get more money but how would the client countries would be able to pay for it?

So India is bringing down food prices and it is helping poor countries but US is unhappy because their producers are not making as much profit as before because there is no shortage. Hmm! What about democratic values,human rights and helping humans now? Does it only limit to Europe and not poor countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa? If you really care about the world like India and think world is one family than let India feed the world and US should also help. US is currently the sole superpower and it must act as such to tidy up their reputation that has been damaged from war in middle east and asia. With great power comes great responsibility. Stop caring about profits, cuz of your profits many poor people will starve in the world and we definitely don't want profit of some elites above people's lives.

Agriculture productivity in India is quite low compared to world average. India should really plan to reduce subsidies given to farmers esp around electricity and fertilizers.

Woke US government along with New York Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg, CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC and ACLU, stirred unrest against India through fake articles and incited riots here through social media manipulations.
