- I had to leave my son on this freestyle Friday to attend a pre-meeting for the bridal party of my friend's wedding. It was an obligation rather than a choice, but Kobe wanted to come with me. It was late, and bath time was around the corner. Despite all the logical explanations, his disappointment is always heartbreaking.

Here is a great tactic, plan your leave time earlier. Then take him or all out for 5 minutes. Return, send him in his room for something. You must leave immediately. Moma must distract him with a snack, or etc. If he asks where you are momma must say he will be back "only those words". His sense of time has not developed yet, so he will be good. ❤❤❤

That's not necessary. Kids have to learn at some point that not every activity in their parents life involves them. Like showering or going to work for example. There's nothing bad in it. Just explain it.
No tantrum, no rebellion, no tears. Just gentle persistence and determination to create his desired outcome. When that was not possible, he relented disappointed, but not a meltdown. A child like Kobe shouldn’t be disappointed unless it’s unavoidable. I understand why it hurts you to do that.
Sandy is so supportive, understanding and kind. Dad has the same qualities but might be a little more sensitive it’s so sweet. They make a wonderful loving couple and great parents. Love this family.

I really do not know the family dynamics. Are these parents separated or divorced? They both seem like great people and parents. Their child is wonderful , intelligent, loving, caring and terrific.
