Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

Good sermon and I'm not a Tony follower at all, but he had excellent points although he mentioned v17 with referencing the chapter or book.
A rich man is a man who is willing to do almost anything to protect and preserve his tremendous wealth (Matthew 6:21). He may feel the way he does about his wealth because he believes that it can offer him a great deal of WORLDLY influence, financial security and power. The more money that he is able to accumulates unto himself, the more confidence that he will have about being able to enjoy his BEST LIFE NOW. He may even try to rationalize his relentless efforts to attain even more money than is actually needed for him to enjoy his temporal life, here on earth. Is this not how MOST people think when it comes to worldly success? This type of insatiable behavior is very common and sometimes expected from an unconverted world, but it is greatly DISCOURAGED in the true body of Christ, because Christ absolutely HATES it!
📖 Luke 12: 15-21 📖
15) Then He (Jesus) said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against ALL KINDS of greed; life does NOT consist in an abundance of (earthly) possessions.” 16) And He told them this (short religious story) parable: “The ground of a certain RICH man yielded an abundant harvest. 17) He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ 18) "Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build BIGGER ones, and there I will store my SURPLUS grain. 19) And I’ll say to myself, “You have PLENTY of grain laid up for MANY years. Take LIFE EASY; eat, drink and be merry.”’ 20) "But God said to him, ‘You FOOL! This very night your LIFE will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ 21)"This is how it WILL be with WHOEVER stores up (earthly) things for themselves but is NOT RICH toward God.” (1 John 2:15)
When YOU are faced with TWO opposing viewpoints regarding WORDLY success, only ONE person can be trusted...... and His name is JESUS! (Matthew 6:24)

NEG•A•TIV•I•TY: the expression of CRITICISM of or pessimism about something.
Has anyone ever noticed that whenever a true Christian points out ANY biblical errors that have been spoken or demonstrated by a professing Christian, the true Christians are often perceived as being NEGATIVE, jealous, a hater, the enemy, judgmental or the devil 😁
If a student had become very excited about learning how to pursue their life long dreams of becoming the professional person that they had desired to be in life, and their teacher, coach or instructor had pointed out some of their obvious errors in achieving their life goals, do you HONESTLY think that the student would feel as though his or her teacher was being NEGATIVE? 😕.........or would the student feel as though their teacher had been very NEGATIVE because they had simply REFUSED to point out any errors that would of prevented the student from accomplishing their life long dreams? (Proverbs 3:11)
Whenever a person struggles with CORRECTION it is often attributed to their stubborn sense PRIDE. There are not too many people in the world that would approve of having their ego deflated by the TRUTH. Therefore, even when most Christians are obviously wrong in their perception, they will still attempt to reinsert themselves by proving that they are actually correct in their Spiritual beliefs 😁 (Proverbs 8:13)
You see?...,,When Christians rejects biblical CORRECTION, they are the ones that are being NEGATIVE, because the ENTIRE bible is about Christ CORRECTING His beloved church! 😁

Christ CORRECTS the people whom He truly LOVES 😁

Lydia, first and foremost Jesus loves you. The only requirement for Salvation is faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God as your Lord and Savior, who died for your Sins (John 3:16). What sends people to hell is not believing in Jesus. If your addiction to cigarettes is a stumbling block keeping you from believing in Jesus, then yes that would send you to hell. Otherwise, the only thing your cigarette addiction is killing is your lungs and body
God's love and Salvation is far stronger than addictions/habits of humans. It's called God's grace. Everyone sins in some form.
