I liked Luther, he was kinda like a father figure to Carl for a period of time. It’s a shame he wasn’t in the show more for like little scenes or mentioned.

I should have done that same dam thing when I had the chance in 1979 or 80...I chose a job outside of a coal mines instead..What a screwed up career decision that was at 20yrs old..I'm trying to remember who told me that mine would always be there when it shut down 2yrs later. The Army never shuts down and it's hard to tell how my life could have been cause just like the actor Carl, I could take a punch and give one back harder at that point in time. Now I'm just existing and that's about it...I love my country and the American Veterans who fought hard for nothing most likely...
