I can completely relate to what you said about the writing style of dark romances. I tried my absolute best to get through the Cat and Mouse series. But I gave up 60 percent into the second book. It's so disappointing but I just couldn't. I love all your recs tho and I have to say my favorite of your recs this year(2023) was Fifth Avenue Summer *chefs kiss*. You have to read The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah

I read Before We Were Strangers, because of you, that was 5 stars, and I actually cried. I don't usually cry with books, movies yes, books it has to really hit me. Omg I finished the year reading “the midnight library” as well and I was so happy to end the year with it! I literally finished it at 11:45 on new years while my family was panicking and grabbing their grapes and drinks lol
I read “the midnight library” at the end of 2022 and loved it! I still think about it on a daily basis and I think it should be a must read for everyone because everyone has that “what if…” doubt once in a while

Good choices of books I have a few books that’s you read on my tbr let’s see when I can read them and 50 is a realistic number for me I wish I could do that this year but now is collage books 🙄 not that interesting.

I read Midnight Library over the summer and literally fell in LOVE. I tell everyone about it! I am reading The Humans by Matt Haig right now, it's about human nature from the point of view from an Alien and it makes you realize just how weird some of our behaviors are 🤣I it's little more complex read just in the writing style I think but also so good and very interesting. Love hearing your recommendations, every book I have read from your videos never disappoints!

Unfortunately, I’ve been in a reading slump for YEARS. I want to say since 2020. I think I was too emotionally stimulated by the pandemic and never really came out of that slump. I did read maybe 1 or 2 books per year, but this year I’m making it a goal to read at least 10. For this reason, I’m rereading a childhood favorite to bring about the feeling of nostalgia and hopefully kickstart my reading journey again
