Impressive work as always dude
Love that challenger! Glad to see you getting into some big steam
Give me your Western Maryland challenger 🤣
Great video RJ. Wood sided passenger cars are a personal favorite, so nice addition
Thank you James!
That title gave me flashbacks of those LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF TRAINS dvd commercials that played way too often. Great video!
Love the little steam/BIG STEAM combo used on the layout.
Great operating açcessories. The freight trains are so real with steam smoke.
Really good video Bud. Cabrera angles and speed of trains are perfect. Enjoyed all your hard work.
Thank you!
That's funny, I've had my PS2 Beano Mikado running the last week or so on my layout!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
The Oh No part at 14:39, ahhhhh Nostalgia!!!!!
Awesome engines RJ. I'm glad that you are a Pennsylvania Railroad fan now. Amazing video 👍
Thank you Al! I wouldn't say I am a PRR fan... just a fan of PRR engines that ran on Long Island 😉
Thanks for this great video, RJ. You've acquired some great steamers for your roster. Very impressive, especially the Clinchfield Challenger, an awesome loco indeed. I'm always impressed by the historic background you give attention to in the selection of locomotives you choose to display on your layout. They always have a special connection to your own experience. I really like that aspect you bring to your layout.
R J, it's really nice you included the historic connection of the PRR during WW ll. Being the largest steam loco ever to operate on L.I., was interesting to learn.
The Red Cross passenger cars remind one of the blood sacrifice of those before us. Hopefully that fact is not lost on the younger generation.
Thank you.
ps, very funny the Clinchfield smashing that shack.....😮
Very nice job putting this video together. I really the old mikado recording. This video gets me excited about the mikado I have on order.
The new Lionel one is going to be great. I would have gotten one if they did one that ran on Long Island
Great collection of steam engines!
Hey RJ, everything is so beautiful here....I'd just like to shrink to scale myself and enter this beautiful world...and walk right into these trains ...I'll let you know if I find out how..ha ha
They are beautiful
Thank you very much!
I remember UP 3985 dress up as Clinchfield 676 to pull the Santa Train on the CSX railroad
Awesome locomotives Awesome layouts
Thank you!
I second that on the PRR. Hahaha Great video!
Thanks Roman!
Enjoy your new motive power! Looks good! 👍
Thank you!
Great video and new items! 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you like them!
Great video Rj. Nice to see you trade in the the L&N for the Mighty B&O.
Beautiful engines.
Thank you!
Great video as always RJ!
You know, it's not too suprising there's no photos of the Pennsy L1 operating on the LIRR during WW2. During the war photography along heavily used rail lines was actively discouraged, if not flat-out forbidden for security reasons. Most likely even more so on Long Island considering two major defense contractors were out there, Grumman (who made aircraft for the US Navy) and Republic Aviation, where the USAAF's P-47's came from. Any railfan who wanted to take photos in those days had to be VERY discreet or just forget about it for the duration. Who wanted to get arrested on suspicion of being a Nazi spy? Could be awkward to say the least!
And those B&O engines might very well have made it up to the NYC area, both the "President Washington" and that Mikado. The B&O did run up to Jersey City on CNJ tracks and the Hudson waterfront after all!
Hey, you know if you wanted to you could re-create the CSX "Santa Train" from the early 1990's with your Clinchfield Challenger. UP's 3985 came east by invitation of CSX back then and was remarked as a Clinchfield Challenger for the occasion!
Some great acquisitions in engines and rolling stock, and that "bobber" caboose is well done!
You've got to love bobbers, they're so cool! I've got five!
Congratulations, you've picked up some great stuff!
I'm from Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania RR THE STANDARD OF THE WORLD. ,,,PENN STATION THE LARGEST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL STATION IN THE WORLD ,,.,..,NICE VIDEO
Some great engines RJ. It's always a treat to pick up pieces with special meanings attached. Well done and thank you ! 👍
Thank you James!
RJ, Thank you for sharing. Great steam engines. Nice layout.
Thank you for watching David!
super amaze balls 😄
Me too i have many trains 😊
Very cool engines RJ! Also, now I know why that railroad was called the B&O.
Chris: It’s Stands for Baltimore & Ohio!
Thank you!
Great video. Sorry i didn't catch you at York. I'm curious why the hate for PRR?
Do you have the MTH part no. for that Clinchfield Challenger?
Nice layout! What size curves do you have?
I only have one small nitpick for the challenger
On the left hand side, the eccentric rod is oriented the wrong way
Other that that, a great looking loco
I don’t even know what that is, so it doesn’t bother me 🤣 thanks for watching
You told me once on Insta that your curves were a combination of 072 and 048 on the same loop. I think. If so, how does the challenger which is rated for 072 fit over the 048 so well?
I have a loop of 072 and a loop of 048. It isn’t a mixture of 048/072
@@rj.trains Oh ok. I must’ve misread what you had said. Thanks
lmao fuck anybody that has anything to do with the pennsylvania railroad lmao i almost spit my tea out lol :)
Haha thank you, that was my goal by including it.
Got a few...squeakers in there, eh?
What is the size of your layout? Cool trains....
I love those wood passenger cars
Thank you!
