Interesting. My Corvette from USA came in plastic (wrapped).
Your Revell USA kit must’ve been a return or somebody wanted to look at the kit, because both of my Revell USA kits were all in plastic, including the windshield. I agree the Revell of Germany decal sheet is so much better than the US release....
Mine too. Everything wrapped by itself.
Great job on the small and fine details so far....
Thanks
Nice comparison. I would've thought that one kit was just the other reboxed.
Awsome i watched the others the differences wen u had built the m usa and germany addition i got this built from box been semi snaptight kit but u know i was missing my big wing i used a much smaller than should be on it though off a GTR R34 NISMO SKYLINE
Great concise video. Just subbed
Thank you
hey mate. I have also the American version but my body was yellow and it was also wrapped in plastic...
The one I got from revell USA was all wrapped in plastic, I was surprised to see yours wasn’t. I’m confused about that.
I was also surprised as they usually are wrapped in plastic. That kit may have been a return that someone had opened previously.
Nice side by side comparison of these two kits my friend. Both builds are coming along nicely so far. Seems like the revell of Germany wins in the details. Looking forward for the next update. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work.
Thank you
Quick question, I’ve done this model twice now and I have another I’m doing but I noticed when you’re airbrushing, what do use to keep those wooden sticks on the plastic bits, is it just some type of plastic cement?
I use blue tack you can get from office supply stores, also sometimes called poster putty.
First time model builder and probably only time because I am honestly not a huge fan, I was expecting more of the Germany one pre colored (i would imagine it’s not painted)
Some models come molded in a color in case you do not want to paint them but otherwise you do need to paint them.
For the engine cover you said you painted Graphite what brand paint did you use?
I don't totally remember. It was either some left over Gravity Colors or Tamiya.
I emailed Revell-Germany asking if I can buy the decals. I like the seat belts.
Did they answer?
Just bought the kit (USA) at Hobby Lobby for $17. (40% Discount) all parts were in plastic bags unlike yours.
The Revell Germany kit is more expensive but has some better details..
The difference in Levels is due to the decline in the U.S of the Model hobby and Kids here not being as adept at assembly as they once were. I blame console games but it could just be down to change due to external inputs focusing on other agendas. They are the same Kits assembly wise but I prefer the Germany kits as they are made better from what I've seen and I feel they are worth the little extra as you get a few nicer touches especially with Decals.
I agree.
