Thank you for your video. It's been quite a trip down memory lane. I am a retired school board technician who has repaired thousands of commodore products. Our school board spent millions of dollars purchasing c64s peripherals every year and their failure rates were very high. I remember I had a coffee can full of defective ICs that weighed about 5 lbs. I can hear the diagnostic sound wave in my head to this day. Thank you again for the nostalgia. I'm happily retired now and never touching a computer again. 😉 Lol. Fantastic videos.

I love my C64, 1541 drives & 1702 monitor that I got for Xmas 1983 when I was 15 (monitor in 1984 upgrading from a 12 inch B&W TV). I still use them all the time (well not the two 1541so much since getting a Ultimate - II+). Long time/first time. Being stuck at home 24/7, seeing a video like this pop up is sheer joy to make this stressful time more bearable. The classic breadbin C64 was my first computer, and still my favorite (you never forget your first love...). Seeing you and others like 8Bit Guy restoring and caring for these, it really brings me back to my early teen years spending hours typing in hex programs from Compute's Gazette, coding in machine language, or just playing millions of games. You and the whole 'Fractic family are some much fun, keep it up!
