I have the compact usp 45 and never had a malfunction in about 13-14 years or so. I did change my mag springs and the spring for the recoil assembly just as preventative maintenance. My usp compact was pretty well used when I got it and I put at least 10,000 rounds thru it myself

Hey Beretta's... that kid of yours can SHOOT not to mention that Sr. is no slouch either! I've spent my firearm allowance for a bit just recently acquiring a Dan Wesson ECP in 9mm, a Wilson Combat Vickers Tactical Model 19 Glock, a Langdon Tactical LTT Elite Model 9mm COMPACT and a HK Model 416-D that I slapped a Sig Sauer Romeo5 on! Working In a Successful Gun Shop (Sugarbush Armory in Attica, NY) has it's advantages yet the "I-WANT Disadvantages" too ';-) Great Video as always~thanks, Mike
This was the first firearm I bought for myself about 30 years ago. It's still my favorite weapon to shoot and have for home defense. It's engineering art. It makes sense you were able to get tritium sights, because I see the laser etched HK on the slide. The older versions, like I have, has the HK rolled onto it. I think you could get night sights, but not directly from HK.

the movie COLLATERAL is what got me interested and bought the HK USP 45 , it's the same exact model used in the movie including the same magazine with finger rest.

I’ve got the full size USP 45 Tactical and the fairly rare CT, compact tactical. Great pistols and will never get rid of them. Mags are not that bad, $36-$38 online. Now you have to get the full size 9mm. I have one of those too. Added the jet funnel. Trijicon HD’s on all of them. The 9mm USP is my highest round count pistol I own.

Great video! Reminded me I need one…I have the expert version. I also as my first pistol in July 2001 I bought the usp 9. I still have that pistol and love H&k. Well I love most guns but these will always have a special place with me as “my first” 😎. Great review I will have one by the end of the week.

I’ve been carrying one since 1995, I have well over 20,000 rounds through it now and honestly stopped counting. I’m very proficient with it, still shoots like the day I bought it. I have 3 others in my rotation I’m proud to say. They just fit me perfectly and also I refuse to compromise anymore, life is too short. My lighted USP.40 LEM & USP.45 Expert are definitely awesome as well. Great vid, I can tell the USP fits yer son well, looks like he’s used to it. That I love to see, great shooting!!

I've had one since 2001. It's the same model as the USP 45 Tactical, except for sights and extended barrel, so the Tactical barrel will work in it.
Man i want that pistol! Been looking for one. Local shop had one but sold it the same day i went to go look at it. Glad hk has no plans to discontinue the usp line.
I am so glad I bought this HK USP 45 a couple of months ago! It's off roster now in California!!! 😱

I'm on My second USP.45. My first one in 2019 was DA/SA. I could not adjust to that trigger. Like Sr, I love My Glock 21 Gen 4 and simply shoot it better. I sold the HK and found another early this month. This one has an LEM V7 trigger. It's better than the last one, I just don't shoot it that well. 430 reliable rounds of all sorts of ammo so far with one cleaning. Maybe it'll get better,we'll see.

Have u run any 45super? I believe these were designed around a 185 grain +p load. I prefer the Glock 21 . But if I had to pick 1 pistol for the last 1 it would be a hard call between Glock17, P226, or a USP 9
I threw my choice back and forth between this pistol and the hk 45 I handled both but I was able to shoot my buddies hk 45c the full size hk 45 fit so well for me I went that route and after firing the hk 45 and as accurately as I shoot it the extra two rounds for the usp is something I can overlook although I wish the usp fit my hands better as the usp has a fine track record for sure

I think you need a pistol with at least 34 rounds 😂 jk nice video I enjoyed it, its interesting that rounds didn't go off just how old are they ? When I was a teen I oiled rifle rounds but was told by a soldier that that wasn't a good idea that it might prevent them from firing. Though I don't think they were ever used ...
what's the best ammo for this gun? I know certain ammo doesn't feed well in the 1911s. but this USP seems like it may be a better 45.
Mine seems to feed almost anything. Federal HST 230 Grain & Remington Golden Sabre 230 Grain Bonded… Are my 2 Favorite 45ACP Defensive Hollow- Points. Shoot 50 rounds of your carry ammo and if it runs 100% you should be good to go. B9USA Sr.

You should try a USP40. I have a Sig P229 and my son talked me into the USP40. I thought the P229 was the best pistol ever. I was wrong!

Both the 229 and USP were designed around the .40
I don't know about you, but I've got a bunch of surplus WW1 ammo that's more reliable than Federal.

@@Lordoftheswollen I found a stream light that fits perfectly 3-4 years ago and still works great with its original batteries. I have the original HK light that came with it however the bulb is blown. It was $125 back then

I just got one of these off GB. BG code which is 2016 manufacture. BNIB. It came with 2-10 round mags and I bought a further 6-12 round mags. I plan on putting some Trijicon HDs on it and just shoot it.
