    This is great! I'd love more of these types of exercises. I'm a new choir member who returned to singing regularly after almost 40 years of being away from music, and rely on exercises like these to improve my sound clarity and agility ( not to mention volume). Thank you so much!

    All your warmups are thorough and constructive. I have started including a set of warmup videos (w no talking ) in the morning and a few in the evening as a part of my cool down routine. Thank you 💜

    great stuff! Thanks for another great video. I need to go back to the smoothing the break video, because there's a big break in my voice in the Downward Pentatonic open vowel.

    • @SingingStraw
      @SingingStraw  Před 4 lety +2

      Totally normal Louise. Keep up the practice and it'll smooth out!

    This was so great! A wonderful vocal workout and really worked my ear. I'm rusty with my ear training since I switched majors back in college and haven't practiced as diligently as I should. I second the more ear training videos suggestion. Thank you so much for these videos!

      Hey Fiona! For sure - I just hold a minor chord and do a chromatic bass walk down for the first run, then hold the minor on the quick one!

    is it more of a blowing that you are doing into the straw? When I used a straw I was plugging up my nose to constrict the airflow more and then doing sirens. Are you using the airflow through the hole on the straw while you are blowing?

    • @SingingStraw
      @SingingStraw  Před 3 lety

      You can definitely check yourself by plugging your nose to ensure most of the air is coming out of your mouth/straw. Here's a good video to make sure you are doing it correctly czcams.com/video/8ER8gm-jGkA/video.html
