- As an AvGeek, I collect just about anything related to commercial aviation. I have just recently moved house, while doing so I made the decision to share with you some of my aviation collection.
I collect airplane models that I flew on as a passenger. Most of my models are GeminiJets, in both 1:200 and 1:400 scale. I have decorated the showcase with models and I have also included some of the flight certificates in the background. I have hundreds of airline amenity kits from my travels, along with many sets of sleepwear. I adore tableware with airline logos, but not the generic ones.
I also collect in-flight menus from the flights I have been on. Some of them are rare or one of a kind; such as the inaugural A350-1000 flight on Qatar Airways, the last breakfast menu on EL AL B747-400 and the flight menu from Hello Kitty flights on EVA Air. On my book shelf I have a varied collection of aviation books and this includes my latest book, Air747.
Apart from my collection, my new home boasts a great view over Dubai Airport. I can easily do plane spotting from my balcony. Watch the amazing view from the roof top of my building with sweeping view of Dubai city and Dubai Airport.

I’ve gained a lot of respect for the aviation industry thanks to Sam. It truly is amazing what it takes to get a plane off the ground. The amount of detail Sam goes into delving into the airline industry truly gives him a leg up over others channels and in my mind has made him one of the premier aviation channel on CZcams.

That's a great collection Sam. What I collect is Boarding passes, I have around 200 boarding passes (collecting since 2017) I also have a boarding pass of flight on which I experienced severe turbulence for the first time (FlyDubai). Living near DXB is just great! I also love that carpet which has your name on it! Cheers!
It's a shame the boarding pass at best these days is that fax paper type stuff that fades. I miss the real boarding passes.

Great memorabilia, Sam. I love the view from your place. Much quieter than the plane spotting vantage point I had growing up. I grew up under the flight pattern from 27L at O'Hare. I grew used to it though.
You have a fine model airplane collection. That Concorde certificate is pretty cool. I was able to go on one at NYC’s Intrepid museum years ago. It was a nice experience, I got to sit in the cockpit

I love how you turned your hobby into a career. I too spent my childhood learning about planes, travelled in cockpits, collecting reading books on all types of aircraft. Dumb me never thought of doing something special with it career wise too!

I just purchased a bunch of Gemini 200 scale to add to my collection! My dad used to take me to JFK Airport to watch the planes take off from the gate. Yes, before security restrictions you were able to that!

To live in a home with the view of the runway is an absolute dream of mine!! Flying is what brings me the most peace and happiness, but really anything that has to do with airplanes makes my eyes light up. I love this!!! 🥹✈️

Well it would cost a fortune for that apartment,whether bought or rented.
He deserves it. Being a utuber and constantly filming and Editing is alot of hard work. That view of the Airport is not wasted with him living there lol. Pleased for you.
Thanks for seeing the hard work behind. We spent many hours getting the timelapse in this video. Few hours of work just equates to 20 seconds of footage.

@@SamChui dang you have flown on more than a hundred 747s but I’ve only flown on one. Now that Covid is here, my chances became lower. I am 90% sure that the 747 I have flown on was HL7428, yes its an Asiana plane. That flight was so memorable to me because it brought me to Manila after having a flight from San Francisco to Seoul on an A350 of Asiana too. In that case I rode 3 aircaft types on that trip. Asiana A330 to Seoul, A350 to San Francisco and back to Seoul, and 747 back home.

@@gtaviation6924 Asiana still have 1 PAX B747-400(HL7428), however, I think HL7428 will be retired in 5 years due to deterioration
and Asiana will be taken over by Korean Air in 5 years. Korean Air have B747-400ERF, B747-8I and B747-8F, but no more B747-400(PAX) since 2020. (HL7402 will be changed the Freighter and will be opertaed by Kalitta Air. HL7461 will be scrapped in RKSS(Seoul/Gimpo Int't Airport)..T_T)

I find this really unique. It shows how much a passion can really mean. I have a Virgin 747-4 1:200 scale. Their final flight was not too long ago as you probably would have known. Nothing will ever replace the queen of the skies

I'm with you Sam, the United (Saul Bass) Tulip livery will always be my favorite and memory. Mainly cause I flew many a flight on the United 747's and 727's as a kid, when my father used to work for them.
