West Texas 2 Acre Homestead Tour

Hey there, welcome to our little slice of Texas homestead life here on CZcams! 🌿🐓✨ I'm Lauren, and together with my family, we've embarked on a homesteading and homeschooling adventure right here in San Angelo, West Texas. We're documenting our journey of turning our home into a sustainable living space, filled with chickens (and their escapades), gardening, and a bit of thrifting along the way.
From nearly burning down our house with a chicken coop experiment to our male cat surprisingly having kittens, our life is full of unexpected turns and learning curves. We're far from experts, but we're here to share every step, stumble, and success as we dive into the world of homesteading, gardening, and homeschooling our two wonderful children, all while keeping our unique, non-religious perspective in the heart of Texas.
Our channel is a place for sharing our experiences with raising chickens, battling rogue roosters, and dabbling in the deep litter method for our coop. We're also taking on projects like restoring our garden, which was a hidden gem we discovered after moving in, and figuring out how to properly care for a pecan tree that came with the property.
We'll take you on tours around our home, from our cozy hangout spot with a fire pit and hammock to our attempts at establishing a water collection system for those hot Texas days. And let's not forget the gardening adventures - from the mishaps with our first container planting attempts to our plans for an orchard and vegetable garden.
