I’m still very new to guitar, so could someone please explain why he isn’t using his index on the G and C chords please?
Hey brother - when you play the G and C chord you can do either version (with index finger on or off). It just produces a slightly different sound since you are either adding or not playing the one note (string). I usually rotate between the two depending on the song or if I am fingerpicking. If you are a beginner, I would recommend starting with the index finger on :)

Ohhh yikes, you would need to transpose the chords from G to C and then capo whatever key you are trying to play in.
