One of my favorite dungeon. Who'd have thought that legoes could match the time/space so perfectly.
The background is also...timeless, like you're stuck in the gap between it
One player told me Ludibrium was build with toys to keep the innocence of childhood.
Another one sayd to me it was build that way because the childhood looks endlees when you is a kid, like time that look endless.
@@thefaz3744 i believe the lore is, that the goddess of time in maple, Rhinne, froze the land of ludirbrium in time to preserve its child like state and it forever hovered over ludus lake.
The first time i went to Orbis to change my job, i HAD to go all my way out to Ludibrium for the first ever time. No matter the cost. fun times with my friends
the clocktower represents nostalgia and stagnation
the side with vikings and gang depicts the beauty of nostalgia with its more light-hearted BGMs
the side with the undead mobs depicts the ugliness of stagnation with its darker-sounding BGMs, especially in the Thanatos map
I love how each bgm really fits the each concept of maps very well.
I can hear the vikings dying.

Dual ghost pirates are still fantastic for training, its great to hear this music in the early lv 100s grind nowadays.
2007년 시절에 지겹도록 많이 들은 BGM. 바이킹이나 듀얼파이렛 사냥으로 렙업했던 곳.

듀파 2배 경험치 파사때 그 전날 자리 잡아놓고 자곤 했는데, 다음날 보니 마을로 소환, 누가 검보 풀은듯 ㅋㅋ

적당한 BPM, 하프 대선율, 귀를 간지럽히는 플룻과 클라리넷, 기교 안 부리고 악기들 돋보이게 해주는 드럼, 옥타브 낮아질 때 분위기 살려주는 트럼본(맞나?), 비올라까지 극락 그 자체

이 구간 지금은 스타포스 요구량이 좀 있어서 첫캐릭터로 가기가 어려운데 그럼에도 불구하고 가는데 성공함. . . 이 환상적인 공간을 누리지 못하면 메이플 할 이유가 없는 거 같음. . .

Me exploring : wait WHERE AM I
A lot of people claim that Big Bang ruined the game. I disagree. Yes, we lost a lot of the maps that we had emotional ties too, but that wasn't what brought on the decline. The fact that Cash Shop took over was the main problem. Before Cash Shop was properly introduced everyone had to rely on the scrolls dropped by the game and that was that. No potential stats, no rerolls. A 50 DEX Sauna robe was godly. People accepted that you won't one shot everything without the special items and grouped up to tackle a lot of things, including leveling up. But with the lower experience demands and the introduction of Pay 2 Win essentially ruined it for anyone without deep pockets or parents without a supervised card. :(
I still love this game, but once you reach a high enough level you essentially have to spend hours upon hours trying to get good items to be able to level at an even decent rate these days, and that's all there is to the game since PQ's do very little after a certain point. Reaching level 21 to run KPQ was such an amazing feeling back in the day, because it was a fun group activity and could reward you with something that was valuable. Remember when ores dropped from mobs, filled up your inventory and was used to actually make weapons?

The cash shop was fine when it was just cosmetic or quality of life stuff. Now it's like a necessity.

유니온 키울 때 이 구간만 생각하며 노잼쪼렙 구간 버텼다. 게이트키퍼 안 잡고 굳이 듀파 잡을 정도로 완벽한 브금과 배경
Played it since beta to ~2007, and it was a great game ruined by its own developers.
Insane amount of grinding... which led to...
Insane amount of hacking... which led to...
Insane amount of original players quitting... which led to...
Insane amount of bonus exp from idiotic new quests in an attempt to draw in new players... which led to...
Remaining original players feeling fucked. What once took half a year to reach level 50 (cap back then was ~60 I think) was now done within a week. Fuck that.
+kashewz No there was never any cap, however there was nothing after second job for a time, so you'd just sit in second job and later (I believe it was the patch that introduced Ludibrium...or maybe the cash shop...frig it's been far too long) 3rd Job.
I even had a friend who got to level 75 on Scania before 3rd job, he was a fucking legend. The tales of him being able to take on Lycan's were whispered throughout the server.
Haven't looked at the current state of the game in a while, but last i looked, just...wow, what even. I quit about a year before whatever that big bang nonsense was. Probably about 8 months since the release of leafre.

kashewz A week? More like 2 hours to get to lvl 50 :p. Back then training non stop to even achieve lvl 30, exploring everything, dying and dying constantly, ah man miss it so much

okay? and the game has to change. with more jobs being introduced, higher level cap, of course they have to make it easier to level. the grind was clearly painful and newer players wouldnt play a game like that

와 메이플스토리 맵 브금 중에서 이맵 브금이 이어폰 끼고 들으니까 자다가도 들으면 바로 일어날 정도로 브금이 너무 좋은데... ㅠ
