Absolutely correct. Vikramshila university was founded during Palas dynasty. Vajrayana Buddhism was founded here. It's from vikramshila university buddhist scholar like Atisha went to Tibet and spread Buddhism. Even many Tibetan Buddhists Pandita visited and studied there. During Palas dynasty extending from present day Bangladesh to gujurat Buddhism was state religion. Tibetan buddhism is the testimony of Palas of the Bengal.

Tibetans in India should understand that India is their country now. Buddhism had sprouted from India - and it is by buddhism in which the Tibetan identity was largely crafted. Love India as your country because your indian brothers will forever support you :)

3333sweetie I don't know if more came or the existing ones made more children but Tibetan population in India has steadily but surely increased over the years. They are settled in the North East of India as well many communities in Delhi and Mumbai, other places too. One of my relatives know a Tibetan shop owner in my state in India, he is a second generation born in India though.
He did well for himself though, worked hard despite having language barriers but got himself ownership of a successful shop a house and a car.
the Tibetan population has almost doubled in the last decade because of a higher birthrate and migration, no? They have increased the Buddhist population by a lot in India, is that also true?
Now they can have owned Indian normal passport as Indian gov recognize them as a Indian tribe...

Tibet Autonomous Region is China’s territory and Tibetan Indians don’t have the right to talk about the issues in China. They are already Indians and they’re no longer Tibetans anymore
Tibet, East Turkestan, Inner Mongolia are all occupied regions of China. Now forcibly trying to kill democratic Hong Kong. Macau has already been assimilated. The day is not far off when all these regions will gain freedom and become independent countries.
Amitav Saha Tibet Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are all autonomous regions of China. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is even created by CPC, which supposedly don’t exist. Hong Kong and Macao are special administrative regions. Hong Kong people still have a high degree of freedom while Macao people are having prosperous lives unlike people in India. These regions won’t become independent countries in the future so stop immersing in your fantasies. Maybe India will be separated into parts, we will see Kingdom of Sikkim, Kingdom of Ladakh, republic of Nagaland, republic of Assam in the near future. While Indian-occupied lands will be returned to the respective countries, Kashmir to a Pakistan, south Tibet to China and parts of Nepal back to Nepal
