Some of these units didn't have precise numbers for how tall they are so some of them could be of by a few feet, particularly Vulkan (could be 16 feet tall for all i know).
Understandable. However, contrary to popular belief Ferrus Manus is/was the tallest Primarch.
@@ImranKhan-gs2hy Well, Ferrus did get a little shorter during the heresy...
Honestly, I think the Imperator is STILL shown as being too small.
@@Noahblondheim2 yeah but only a head shorter.
Im pretty certain Magnus the Red was the tallest primarch. Before the fall
I don't know what's weirder, the fact that Vulkan towers over a dreadnought or Alpharius being shorter than an average Custodes
Believe it or not but this is on the short side for Vulkan, some sources say he's a full 3 feet taller than he is here.
Wow... That is interesting...
That moment I tell the khan rules of natured a dreadnought
Is that Alpharius? I thought I saw Alpharius a few days ago!
@@Mondays_Coffee Alpharius is everywhere

I didn't know the Alpha Legion primarchs were so short. I thought they were at least 10 ft tall.
They're described as slightly taller than an average Horus Heresy marine so i figured 8 to 9 feet is about right, could be a foot or so taller though.
@@FriendlyNighthaunter I see. That makes sense.
Great vid BTW.
Gotta bear in mind that those two Alpha pecks regularly passed for Astartes in power armour so that one of them was hidden and Marine officers could pull off the "I am Alpharius" nonsense, lol
@@MaulyrI am Alpharius
@@alphalegionary7646No, I am Alpharius
That’s quite a jump from a warhound to an imperator
Indeed. I was a bit surprised we didn't get the bigger knights and battle titans
Yeah dude was like "eh screw it, skipping to the end."
Where is the Reaver??
I wanted to see the Warlord in there.
I was abit disappointed there wasnt the Warmonger or the one that was taken over by a daemon
My only suggestion, is you put a guardsmen right next to each character or vehicle. Cause yeah i know how big a dreadnought is to a Custodes... but i can't see how they are to a human.
Bro please do this more for 40k, its awesome to see the stuff visualized like that!
we need every thing from 40k, just an hours long video of every units and character
everyones gangsta until the cathedral starts walkin
Nice video, but I think you needed to add more units before showing the Imperator Titan.
It would have helped if you showed tanks like the Leman Russ, Bane Blade, and a few more Titan Classes before Imperator.
Maybe as the final unit you could show a Space Marine Battle barge ship or a Gloriana class space cruiser.
But I appreciate the work done so far.
Thanks for the feedback. The reason why i didn't, is because those bigger models can take up to 5 days (each) to make since i model everything myself.
@FriendlyNighthaunter no better way to make sure it's accurate right
The fact that you model everything yourself is awesome, you've got great skills@@FriendlyNighthaunter
That last titan looks like it wouldnt be able to move around much or at all without tipping over.
Faith in the emperor keeps it standing
I think they have like
Grav-stabilizers or some other thing like that which keep them upright in normal function
Doesn't stop enough force tipping them over, but it's a lot of force needed
They've tripped a few times in novels.
@@FarremShamistThey get tripped over because they skipped thigh day. Look at those scrawny upper legs!
Stop your heretic nonsense, mate...
Antigrav generators are the only thing keeping the larger titans from buckling under their own weight. It's their main weakness.
IIRC the T'au have exploited it before. Shooting haphardly at a titan is a waste of effort thanks to its many layers of void shielding. Instead you want to sneak in underneath the shield umbrella and pop precision railgun shots at the antigrav units. As soon as those are gone, the rest of the machine starts crumpling like the WTC towers.
So if I wanted to play an Imperator on table top, it would be easier for me to make a costume and stand on the table 😲
That's long been said in the 40k Fandom.
An Imperator titan, assuming we're scaling down the tallest known titan, would only be around 30 inches tall.
I've never understood the people who're like "let's scratch build a titan" then make it 7ft tall or something.. the largest titan in the lore that we know of was only 55 metres/180 ft.
@@rubeniscool after the scale down. From what i heard by old fans, Emperor titans used to taller than 100m (considering they carry a church on their back, and my small village church is ~48m tall that makes sense) but they noticed that you couldnt fit a model like that on the tabletop propely. So instead of saying "Yeah we know the titans dont scale correctly" they just said "You know that titan with an entire church, that carries hundered of men in just its feet. Yeah thats only 50m tall now"
@@lukeskywalker5392 You know they're basically just fancy weapon housing right? Those aren't functional cathedrals or churches by any means.
plus the sizing,
~12 metres warhound
~ 20 metres reaver
~30 metres warlord
~60 metres imperator
has been around for like 30 years at this point.
Funny that Angron benched a warhound when you see the scaling of vulkan compared to a warhound.
I just imagine it zooming out to space to reveal a dreadnaught covering half the planet
Show the hive fleet after that
In the Imperator: Wrath of the Omnissiah book, it feels like an imperator titan could step on that imperator titan.
their scallling in lore is pretty inconsistend
Gretchin: am we joke to you?
Keeping the Cadian next to every few would be a nice way of adding context to how big some things are. Like having a reference Cadian next to the Knight just to say "yeah this shits fucking huge guys" sorta thing. Also maybe some tanks would be awesome!
I will never not think that Vulkan is the Height of a Knight's Knee now.
everybody gangsta 'til the church literally pulls up and has a railgun sticking out of the main door
Idea: You could go on and compare the largest titan to the smallest escort ship of the imperial navy. Could be an idea for a next video ^^
The size and appearance of Imperator Titans can vary tremendously, since each one is unique.
The idea that Vulcan has to look down to look eye to eye with a dreadnought is a very scary thought.
I found it hard to see the height while watching on my phone and with the speed at which you moved along at. You will be able to make many videos with the amount of units in W40k
i think the titans are slithly to short. atleast how i rember it was warhound roughly 20 to 25m and imperator round 160m. but i am curious how dit you come with the imperator being 43 meters?
There's a chaos Imperator Titan called "Dies Irae" which is stated to be only 43 meters tall, the one in the vid is 140m. Different authors give wildly different sizes to some of those Titans so it's hard to decide on a number.
@@FriendlyNighthaunter i didn't know dies irae was 43 meter, normaly he is described as a regular imperator so thats wierd. but yeah sizes are always a bit inconsistant. thanks for the info.
@@magoskain0710 That's mainly because of different models, IIRC apocalypse Titans can be seen from orbit. It really depends how big the imperium wants them to be.
@@magoskain0710
I think the dies Iare was so small because if I'm not mistaken this version of the imperator class titan didn't had a fortres cathedral on its top it so it was a bit smaller than the other titans of its kind. But we shouldn't forget just how powerful this specific imperator was
@@robertsudol3709 i doubt that the cathedrel on a imperator is a 100m. by this dies irea would be smaller than a reaver wich is round 50m.
Good video, but you forgot ratlings and gretchins before average imperial guardsman :(
You should do this again, but its the scale of the models
Everyone thinks its an in universe lore size comparison and then at the end its just the person collecting them
A comprehensive study on all of the 10 different units in the 40k verse
This is a good start, but I think it would be great to include xenos and much more bigger stuff. Ships. The black library. Hive cities. Craft worlds. Etc.
It would be cool to have all races and factions in comparison.
Wasn't Magnus the tallest primarch?
would be cool to have an Imperial Guardsman always in shot for scale.
Makes sense when you think about it: Alpharius and Omegan often disguise themselves as others, which is a lot harder to pull off if you tower over everyone
Everything seems so big in text that im surprised how big things actually are
I love the cardboard cutouts
Nadie va a hablar del cañón que tiene el último entre las piernas?
Not sure the size between the Primaris and Custodes is correct. Custodes look way too large here
People always exaggerate how big titans actually are.
- A warhound titan is 14m tall
- A reaver titan is 26m tall
- A warlord titan is 33m tall
- A warmaster titan is 44m tall
- An imperator titan is 55m tall
Sweeeet 👌🏻 would be cool to see some eldar or tyranids in the same format
Primaris are a tiny taller, on average, than First Born. Like, an inch. Not 1-2 feet
Uhhhmmmm, I feel like we are utterly underrepresented at the bottom end... Co-signed, all Kin (Votann) and Grots/Gretchin.
Alpharius was definitely not shorter than the average custodes. It’s also explained in Head of the Hydra that Alpharius has a sort of psychic aura that can make him appear smaller kind of
~12 metres warhound
~ 20 metres reaver
~30 metres warlord
~60 metres imperator
These have been the official approximate heights for Titans. they're not that big, they use buildings for cover.
I want a story where an Imperator has Warhounds in its leg fortresses.
Vulkan: "tallest primarch"
Magnus: I'm I a joke too you
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is no square cubed law.
I like how they went from a war hound titan to an imperator tital
Everyone gangsta until the church starts walking
I hope this is a first draft and there is an updated version in the pipeline.
Thought this was Meatball Studios for a second.
The relative sizes are way off here. What did you use to size them? Looks like it was just a wild guess.
Titan sizes are so jank because they'll be like "yeah an emperor titan can hold a shit ton of guardsmen in them", then you look at the size of an emperor titan and you ask "how?". Tbh titans aren't as big as I think they should be.
Yoo can anybody tell me the name of the Background Music that's playing??
Feels really unique and ominous sounding.
Been trying to look for these types of music for a D N D game
It's "A Sinister Power Rising" by GioeleFazzeri, you can find it on Pixabay.
Love how after regular human its already at shaq height
Very cool!
we just not ganna talk about abominatus, the chaos titan that towers over the imperator class
Feel like the jump in heights was quite extreme lol.
What’s the soundtrack title, perfect for Warhammer
That imperator titan is ridiculously big
Thank you!
Well, that escalated quickly.
Where along the line would Big E fall into?
Bro went from a war hound straight to an imperator titan !! Cool vid tho
That primaris tower over regular marines that much is shocking.
How about other class of titans above the warhound
Um, excuse me, you forgot tyberos, the red wake whose armor is literally tactical dreadnought armor, custom made to fit him.
Nobody expect a wild duck!
I am here, as some fren on bookface commanded!
I'm happy you didn't include the Emperor on the list, given it doesn't really HAVE a set height.
How big is the Imperator that you're showing? That's 140m, right? Cause there's no way that's only 2.5 times the size of the Warhound
Yea, it's 140m.
Nice, but its hard to visualise the comparison of everything when no more than two are on-screen at once. Would be nice to keep a scale indicator for the guardsman always on-screen
43-140m is ie like Aliexpress when it says delivery time 3-90 days
Necrons scaling video? 👀🤖
The head of the Imperator is the size of a warhound. 😨
Alpharius and omegon were the size of a custodes if not bigger
I remember that Emperor class Titans were 55-60 meters tall... 😅😅🤔🤔
yeah we all agreed in the meeting that is old lore bs
there is no way a 60m tall walker can house a entire spacemarine companie in his legs
official art depicts titans to be 200 meters tall or taller but to make tabletop miniatures more believable GW always shrinks them in their height@@anquiladremon
I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that Emperor Class Titans were about 150 meters tall (about 492 ft tall)
@@nalrashidocould’ve sworn the number given was around 130 feet tall
Crazy how jack hanma amd pickle can look an armoured primaris in the eyes and are bigger too
Both will also defeat PSM is fist fight.
Is no one gonna comment that it's hilarious to see that the World Eater has been shown covered in blood ? 😂
I didn't know that the imperial knight is smaller then the warhound titan
Why did we just jump from a Warhound to an Imperator?
I wonder where pre-heresy Magnus fits.
I thought Magnus the Red was the tallest Primary as he has his father's size-shifting ability as well as being a powerful psyker
Makes it hard to show his true height. The Emperor and Him can basically change their perceived height and visual look as they please, Vulkan is at least consistent on his size and is considered one of the biggest and tallest Primarchs, no trickery involved.
Can you do one for necrons?
Why did Alpharius and Vulkan have variable heights?
I’m surprised that Fallout Power Armor has a similar size to the space marines
Love the Imperator class titan, because it's an inescapable reminder that no matter how serious and grimdark the evolving lore gets, there's this early canonical stuff that's absolutely goofy af.
Old lore is much more serious than new lore, same with art style, old artwork are much more wild tham the new overlyclean artwork. Not sure if you have seen the old art work featuring 3 hyper detailed space marine, a nurgle, slaaneshi with a deformed head with huge googly eyes and a khornate with a crazy huge tongue licking blood off his sword. Much more wild and proper to what chaos is, now you see the clean khornate that look cartoonesque.
I'd like to see this with xenos
Is that the warrior kings soundtrack? o.o
Wasn't ferrus the tallest primarch? Excluding Cheater magnus
I thought Vulkan was the biggest not the tallest
Thanks
Scale is the one thing that is completely ridiculous in Warhammer.
Would have loved if you threw some other vehicles in.
Should have then shown how a small Imperial frigate is the size of a Star Wars Star Destroyer.
mate those are about the same size (1.6 km), and those are some of the smallest 40k ships
40k ships are huge
I thought the war doggos were bigger
you went from warhound to imperator, no reaver?
0:10 Primaris are not that big compared to firstborn, don’t go off of the miniatures height, in lore they are more similar sized, and that’s not accounting for the fact that their height can vary.
Gotta say, the titan looks ridiculous
> 40k setting
> only imperial units
Damn vulcand bigger than a dreadnought?
Why no reader or warlord titan
Reaver class and warlord class titans?
