    Bright orange Elise, AND with the supercharger...envious! If I ever were to buy an Elise, it would have to be one like this.

    What have you done to your Elise for racing? I'm just thinking about getting into it so all I know for sure that many places require is a fire extinguisher and an emergency fuel shut off. Love watching your videos, I've always loved driving and would like to get into weekend racing when I can, can't drive like this on roads haha

    • @harrycliors
      @harrycliors  Před 8 lety +1

      +Alex Burnside The car has been sold ;) I had no extinguisher and no emergency fuel shut off in the car, but I advise you to install it in your ;) I had just upgrades on my car. Only tyres (Avon ZZR), brakes (EBC Ultimax USR discs, Carbone Lorraine RC6 pads, and RBF660 liquid), and an ECU upgrade to 240hp ;)

    • @matthewvalenzuela1441

      He might have a smaller pulley, making the supercharger push more boost, effectively increasing the noise. I noticed a difference on my mini cooper s.

    • @harrycliors
      @harrycliors  Před 8 lety +2

      That's just the Cup Airbox with a TRD air filter which do that noise ;)No smaller pulley, you don't, it's bad for the supercharger ;)

    Ma e normale che una tp con motore centrale sottosterzi tanto specialmente in entrata di curva? Scusate l'ignoranza ma con motore centrale l'auto dovrebbe essere stra' bilanciata e al massimo partire di retrotreno o no ? Sterza come fosse una ta o 4x4 invece...

    • @92CUCA
      @92CUCA Před 8 lety

      +Davide Camuffo dipende da un sacco di fattori, bisognerebbe analizzare ogni curva e conoscere meglio le condizioni della macchina... il comportamento "intrinseco" del veicolo è quello di sovrasterzare (dovuto al fatto che il baricentro è spostato verso l'asse posteriore), ma questo non significa che non ci possa essere del sottosterzo

    • @robbie_mc_rae
      @robbie_mc_rae Před 6 lety +1

      No, il motore e posteriore non centrale ed e normale avere piu aderenza al retrotreno visto che il peso del motore grava sulle ruote posteriori tenendole attaccate a terra, per ridurre il sottoaterzo bisognerebbe diminuire la deportanza positiva con un estrattore, uno spliter e delle minigonne. Sulla elise ce altro poco da fare.

    • @pierpaoloprastaro7379
      @pierpaoloprastaro7379 Před rokem

      Ho avuto un'Elise e aveva sottosterzo nelle curve lente. Con gomme semi slick scaldandole bene la situazione migliora a, ma è una macchina con la quale devi sempre tenere giù, sia per caricarla davanti sia per tenerla in traiettoria compensando il sotto sterzo con il sovrasterzo. Il punto è che quando lo fai sei sempre al limite ed è facile girarsi. Sembra facile guidarla al limite ma non lo è, ci vuole molta sensibilità. Sul tracciato Trento - Bondone, per tenerla dentro davanti pizzicavo il freno col sinistro sia in entrata che in uscita, e allora era veramente veloce. Auto non per tutti, ma se hai manico e sensibilità è un osso duro, soprattutto sul misto guidato.

    • @davidecamuffo3757
      @davidecamuffo3757 Před rokem

      @@pierpaoloprastaro7379 dopo tanto anni ho avuto modo di verificare da solo... Di mio mi trovo bene solo con le traduzioni anteriore che sono più "facili" per andare veloci, la traduzione integrale sulle prime sembra la migliore ma ha limitate "reazioni" per giocare e cmq per farle "correre" serve molta coppia e potenza le trazioni posteriore con motore centrale/posteriore bisogna come dici te usare spesso il freno per caricare le ruote anteriori e dare più o meno freno motore a quelle posteriori x il carico "io finisco x andare piano" viceversa vado meglio con le trazioni posteriore e motore anteriore risultano più "facili" però in ogni caso su strada il tutto avanti è sempre efficace bagnato asciutto ecc..

      +Zach Berse It's done if you listen ;) No need to go to 8000rpm. If it's well done you have no jolts when you shift down fast, and it's what I do ;) Just go to the right rpm when you shift. 30.000kms and no problem with my gearbox ;)

    • @otsegobob
      @otsegobob Před 8 lety +1

      +Harry David damn right! really no point downshift to 8k rpm. wear on trans + higher chance of over rev during some heated moments trying to clock personal timing... been there done that. :(

    • @ZachCanPlay
      @ZachCanPlay Před 8 lety

      You don't down shift to redline.... In SCCA and PCA, NASA.... you're not even allowed to instruct or be a tracking student if you're not properly rev matching. You can lock up the rear wheels... and its down right bad to engine break. Your whole power train hates it. That Toyota power plant is a tough one. But I wouldn't ant to put extra stress for no reason. I'm not here to argue though!! Great color for the Elise man!! My favorite color. :)
