This is the best game out of all games to test our defence. Coz invariably the team that makes less mistakes would win this game. So it makes sense to lean on our defence more than the attack to make sure we make less mistakes than Liverpool.

Having seen how Manchester United approached Liverpool at Anfield, teams might actually admit that if they risk going for the win there, they'll lose so they'd rather play defence and come out with a point. What does this mean about Klopp's statement on the Anfield atmosphere? It could mean teams will start sacrificing attack for a point. Huge respect to Klopp but the home atmosphere should be an 'unmentioned power', it shouldn't be the focus. The minute clubs start focusing on it they'll just come and park the bus.
It will be interesting to see how Mikel approaches this game. But as he said the team will have to be intelligent. I think at some point if it's not worth the risk he'll go for a draw. This is what Klopp wants to avoid. Teams coming to Anfield and not risking it to force a draw and it annoys him. Because Manu did it, he doesn't want other teams to catch on to that strategy. But again huge respect to Klopp! Bless up 🙏🏾💯

@@Medarazoe Well, it's hard to predict because vs Spurs he went for the draw in the NLD and took out Rice. To me that showed that he is willing to downplay the occasion and focus on the long game. Klopp wants Arteta to play the occasion hence the Anfield atmosphere comment. ETH refused and went for the draw with Manu 😂.
We can win the midfield battle. United could not, even if they had an extra man in midfield.
If we concede possession and let them attack our box we will be under immense pressure. We can handle them toe to toe. We beat City playing similarly. we do not play like minnows against big boys.

However, if it's 1-1 or 2-2, we must be intelligent knowing that if their fans get all loud and the atmosphere gets to our head, we can calm down, bring in experienced players like Jorginho, play it easy and take the point. It's not a knock out cup tie. It's a marathon. In the grand scheme of things, a point at Anfield isn't bad.
