      My opinion. Time is now, it was and it will be, forever. The past, present and future are illusions. We use those illusions to make sense of time.
      All time is all the time. The past exists not just as a memory, but as a reality at this same moment.

      That's absolutely true. If you say, "time has spent very past" what does it mean. Because to find the speed we shold davide it by the time. Therefore speed is = spent time /time. Actually there is nothing called time. If any thing change around us we store that incident as a data in our memory. To understand theses kinds of changes as spending of TIME. If there is no any changes around us (including in our own body ) or if there is no any ability to store memories in our brain, then what is TIME...?????

    • @kallianpublico7517
      @kallianpublico7517 Před 4 lety +21

      Time is subjective:personal. Yes without memory time would not exist. Example cd. A cd has music on it, right? Not really. Without the cd player a cd is just a silent disc of matter. The music on the cd is lost or perhaps non-existent. As non-existent as the sound a tree makes when it falls and you're not there to hear it.
      You cannot define time apart from the human being concocting it. Just as music requires the cd, the cd player and the listener; so time requires an explanation of you yourself.

    • @kallianpublico7517
      @kallianpublico7517 Před 4 lety +3

      @Übermensch prove it. All you have is your insistence. Nothing else. You have no way to corroborate your words. Without the cd player there is no proof of music on the cd. The only reason to make a suggestion that there is music on a cd is to have prior experience of it. Otherwise you might as well tell everyone that there is a giant called Atlas holding up th sky, or that there is music hidden in dirt or rocks or clouds. You sound delusional or as if you believe in something that no one else can independently verify: that no one else believes. The only reason you know the continent Africa exists, even though you've never been there or aren't there now, is that there are other people who've been there and brought back proof. Otherwise you're relying on belief. Without proof no one can trust what you say. So corroborate your statement. Prove time. Show someone the time particle. Otherwise you're relying on a mass delusion like, supposedly,the belief in God.

    • @kallianpublico7517
      @kallianpublico7517 Před 4 lety

      @Übermensch Foolish muggle if I can say this you can say that? One can say anything to oneself the question is can you convince someone else. Hey everybody there's music in this rock!! If you want to hear a song just ahh....What?
      I get where you're coming from. You think reality is out there waiting to be exposed. And once exposed it cannot be denied. I think there are things out there, undeniably, but what they are is another question. I think that what is real is also imposed. The sun or a tree or water is real. So are other people. But what they are in themselves apart from our awareness is beyond us. As beyond us as the future is. Just as we can never know the future so our awareness of what is is beyond us. Hell can we even know ourselves?
      However you want to recognize reality, whether through knowledge, awareness, experience, will or experiment you have to acknowledge the thing doing the recognizing. After all life existed millions of years without knowledge of language, math or atoms. What makes you think those things will "exist" in the future. In the future they will be obsolete, just as Atlas or the dodo or dinosaurs are

      Time wasn't “created”. INSTANTANEITY is fundamental to what is the FULL and proper UNDERSTANDING of physics/physical experience, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. Time is necessarily possible/potential AND actual IN BALANCE. E=MC2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE. Accordingly, time DILATION ULTIMATELY proves ON BALANCE that ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. E=MC2 IS F=ma. This NECESSARILY represents, INVOLVES, AND DESCRIBES what is possible/potential AND actual IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. Gravity is ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy.
      Consider the man who IS standing on what is THE EARTH/ground. Touch AND feeling BLEND, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity; AS gravity AND ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy are linked AND BALANCED opposites; AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE. (THE EYE is the body ON BALANCE. Consider what is balanced BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE.) The sky is BLUE, AND what is THE EARTH is ALSO BLUE. SO, objects AND MEN fall at the SAME RATE (neglecting air resistance, of course); AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS “mass”/ENERGY involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE consistent with/as what is BALANCED electromagnetic/gravitational force/ENERGY; AS gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. It all CLEARLY makes perfect sense. I have explained why the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches it's revolution. BALANCE and completeness go hand in hand. Carefully consider what is THE SUN. (Very importantly, outer “space” involves full inertia; AND it is fully invisible AND black.) The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. Again, time dilation ULTIMATELY proves ON BALANCE that E=MC2 is F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. Therefore, BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE is fundamental. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. E=MC2 is CLEARLY F=ma ON BALANCE !!!

      If the universe had no concept of time then why do astronauts at space age slowly than people living on earth? This means that time has something to do with physical dimensions. And this is very mysterious. It has been proved by Einstein that the physical dimension to which time is related is actually speed. That's why it's said that if an object travels faster than the speed of light then it can reach future or past. That means time is related to the universe.

      Time is like the measuring of changes between distance and events spawning from a sigularity; and consciousness is the recording of the disorder as it flows. Entropy must continue so the record is stored in created
      consciousness (example :a cell carrying out a function. The cell each time coded to make less mistakes than the last. Like learning to not destroy itself after continual repeated failures) by dark energy and the information is then evolved and replicated
      so that the samething does not infinity repeat. My perspective on the reality of the universe for everyone is different and subjective to that organism\being ,for an example. Scientist states that viruses, bacterias or cells are examples of living organisms that even live in our bodies and they carry out functions. Human beings also carry out functions; but we look at cells and viruses as a lesser life form of life. If there are advance
      or higher forms of life, they can also measure us human beings and state also that we are a lower form of life just as human beings may observe an ant as a lower form of life. However, because of this an ant may not be important to us, but if you try to squash an insect it will try to flee and preserve it's life thus means it's life must mean something to itself; but not to us. Even blood cells defend themselves when under a threat just as we do, but is the life of one blood cell important to us? Is the life of a human being urgent to a tree which is also a living organism. Human beings are the main cost for the destruction of trees whichin they've been here before we we're in existence. So are trees a higher life form than us? A more advance and higher life form may look at a tree and say this tree is much more important than a human being because it sustains life on this planet but human beings destroy the planet with human helping technology (depending on their perspective). All of this said humans may not be as prominent as we think If we remember the laws of physics breaks down on a quantum level. There are lengths like the plank length that are so small that it can be compared to the scale of the universe. So doesn't this mean that being that small you are in a universe of its own , within another observable universe but only observable by our knowledge by humans. If this is so then there must be other places the laws of physics break down also. If it does for the extremely small why not for the extremely big? Who is big and small anyways? We are small to our planet but our planet is small to our sun. This can go on and on. We are the size of a universe to an atom in our body ,thus means also we are big. However, this happens to everything everywhere. If there is space that has particles, those particles may be within an atom, trillions of atoms are in a cell (more than stars in our solar system) whichin cells are IN our blood ( 37 trillion cells). Our blood in our organs and muscles which is within our bodies. Our bodies may be within a house which is within a constituency, which is within a town, which is within a city/state/island which is within a country which is in a continent which is within a planet, which is within a solar system, within a galaxy, within A super cluster, which is within Galactic walls which is within the Cosmic web . "Everything is 'WITHIN' " which The Cosmic web itself is 'within' The Universe WHICH is 'within' a bubble or phenomenon that we cannot see. "Everything is within" something. Hold just a minute here though! We cannot see someone waving at us from an airplane. We only see the construct of the landscape, not the entities within them. Or an ant from the top of a sky scrapper, neither can we see blood cells attacking viruses n vice versa. Which is evidence just because we cannot see oxygen or detect an atom WITHIN does not mean its not there. The human eye cannot see U V rays or even oxygen and we are surrounded by it. So this means the Laws of physics as we KNOW it only applies to our subjective and objective reality. If u step back and look at the universe . We will only see the Cosmic Web of everything. Which seems to be all touching and connecting. Not until we zoom In does things seem to seperate. Just like a cell that make up our skin. Or a dog standing on an island. From far we only see the landscape , but as we zoom in other entities become observable. Inturn becoming a noticeable part of your reality. Things like Dark matter plays not with Morden physics and we cannot see it but it must exist because of the forces that pulls galaxies together and dark energy pushing entropy without the universe collapsing. However back to the Cosmic web. From a far everything is connected, but if u go close or zoom more is revealed within. The universe itself may be 'within' a muti-verse , another unverse, a blackhole, a quantum computer simulation or even apart of another living organism body that seems infinity large. But as we are universal size to an atom the universe can be a drop in the ocean or space to a greater being which most earthly beings cannot fathom or even believe because it is beyond preposterous. Even if your human eyes can go in front of it is to large or small to amke out. You cant see a mountain top from the exact bottom. It is to high in the clouds. Thus u cannot see the universe from one end to the other. The universe legs may be to long (just a joke ) .Somewhat though these are very much what it seems for the great reality. As laws of physics break down at quantum levels, entanglments, singularities and so on. There are dimensions that we cannot see and cannot detect things like :(earthly terms, but they seem to have more meanings) Super positions, past , future, the unconscious, concious thought, different colors of light , pure and dark energy etc. Please excuse my long reply , but this is just a brief explanation of not an objective or subjective reality. Which is infallible, but of the asubjective existence. Thus is an illusion for every entity understanding.

    Time: the increase of entropy
    Entropy: something that increases with time.
    Time and entropy are separate identities, especially considering as entropy does not increase at a steady rate.
    And also just because one might not be able to differentiate which way is forward in time, does not mean time does not exist.

    @johnthegamerman404 Před 5 lety +61

    "No matter what you do, time moves forward, and doesn't stop for anyone or anything." That isn't exactly true. Albert Einstein showed that time was malleable what he came up with his special theory of relativity. If you are moving at a certain speed, time slows down relative to you. It may not be easy to notice if you are moving at an insignificant percentage of the speed of light, but once you DO get to high percentages, (say 99% of the speed of light), its effects really start kicking in. Now here's where the rubber hits the road. If you somehow went 100% the speed of light, (which is impossible for objects or particles with mass), time would absolutely stop for you. So yes, time does slow down/stop for anyone. Anyone who moves at a significant percentage of the speed of light, that is! ;D

    • @whatabouttheearth
      @whatabouttheearth Před 5 lety +9

      Time isnt real. Its a perception and measurement, light still moves. Time is just a way to measure our perception of movement nd change, everything goes through repetitive processes of composition and decomposition and that is what we are really measuring, that movement, that composition and decomposition. Time isnt real because existance is literally change.

      Wtf are you saying. The statement was that times doesn't stop for anything or anyone. Which it doesnt. Time slowing down was never questioned. And since there is absolutely zero evidence stating that anything besides light moves exactly at the speed of light in the corresponding medium your entire point is ruined.
      You're welcome.
      The next thing that you got wrong is that time would stop for stuff moving faster than the speed of light. The following is entirely theoretical and there is no proof that reality actually behaves this way:
      The math describing relativisic effects tells you that once you go v>=c it kind of breaks down. Directly at c you would have an infinite amount of energy. Every time that would ever happen would happen at once. You divide by zero which is very fucking bad in maths. Once you go higher you get into the imaginary spectrum. In the math you get the root of a negative number which can be described with i.
      If you imagine time as an arrow then this i makes that arrow a plain. You have your regular time flow and a second time flow that goes in hand with your regular one. That second time flow is your imaginary time flow. Or complex timeflow it is honestly just a matter of definition.
      Your thing moving faster than c would experience other very strange phenomenas such as negative mass, repulsive gravity (antigravity for that matter), basically every physics rule would apply backwards. But then again just because our math works for stuff slower than c doesnt mean that it works for stuff faster than c.
      Math tells us that it is impossible to move at or faster than c. Reality tells us the same. Probably.

Also, it is stated, mathematically, that 0.000000(infinite 0s)1 = 0. Not just approximately. So if something get close enough, it is fair to say that it is stopped. Objects have gotten 99.9999999999% the speed of light without using the entire freaking energy of the universe. So if you get close enough, it is fair to say time is stopped. Also, like I said, alcubierre warp drive, something that has been theorized to be possible and still is considered plausible, allows light speed exactly, as well as ftl. Also, if you plug in light speed into the time dilation equation, you will have backwards time travel from the result. The math doesnt lie.

    When initially asked what I would draw to represent time, my first thought was to draw an arrow in the form of a spiraling helix. My thought behind this was, just like described in the video, that time is a constant flow in one direction, but events also have a tendency of happening in cycles, therefore the spiral helix structure.
    Earth spins around it's own axis. The moon spins around the earth. The earth and other planets and celestial bodies such as comets spins around the sun. Solar-systems spin around a galactic center. We've always measures time using the consistent intervals of events. It is also sometimes said that spin is a fundamental property of, at least most, particles. Our most accurate clocks are based on constant cycles of events at a near sub-atomic level.
    But then I started thinking, how fundamental is the repeating pattern of time? Just because a lot of things we use to measure time happens to happen in cycles doesn't mean is a fundamental property of time.

    Here is what puzzles me about present time and how Time “flows”.
    What is so special that I’m sensing present time right now? Is it like I’m alive and flowing on a Big Bang wave that is heading into the future with everybody else around me riding on it and experiencing?
    But what about before I was even born?; “present time” was still there and existed for everyone else prior. A person from the 1970s for example was in the “present time” the same way as I am now writing this. It makes me want to think that time does not “flow” but everything that will happen is already written and the people who are alive right now are just experiencing it which in turn is relative to each person.
    Are we riding in the Big Bang wave of time? I’m not sure about that since time is distorted with gravitational forces everywhere in the universe and where there’s a lot of gravitational force time can distort. What about planets or objects that are really close to a black hole of which distorts the fabric of spacetime? Probably for them, we are in the year 5061 while for us, we’re still in the year 2020.
    The notion of time as well as consciousness is very confusing and hard to grasp from many point of views.

      what if time doesn't exist.if it is just an illusion of making our minds to perceive things more relatively.Like a day for example,how did we make a separation like day and night? we did that because in order for every organism to function we need sunlight So we work in the day,and rest in the night in which light is absent.We need to give rest to our body to move out the toxins. If we go back early humans didn't had light to work at the absence of light.So they hunted during the day and rested during the night. So to say every ways we are separating in our world, I meant the events like days, weeks, years , centuries are just our bodily functions.so for us the observers in my opinion time is just an illusion. Want to be more confused? Time dilation. Two persons can experience the passing of time at different rates, but still have a dialog. At least as long as their methods for communication works. They are not really leaving the "current universal time", even if their clocks ticks at different rates and even if they age at different rates.
      An analogy is the spokes on a spinning bicycle wheel. Depending on the distance from the centre hub, the spoke will move at diffrent rates through spacetime. This speed is what we measure with clocks, and typically call time. However, there is also rotational speed, which we call the past, present and future. As much as we change our velocity through spacetime by
      changing our position on a spoke, the rotational speed (present time) is the same for us all.
      Adding to the confusion, we call both times for well, time, and measure them with clocks, and using the same units.
      I am not saying i am correct, it is just how i split things up to make a bit more sense out of it.
      Not sure if i want to add a third speed either, i mean time, the distance the wheel moves pr revolution. I think i leave that for another time...

    My experience of time varies wether or not I'm having fun, & how I feel.
    When I feel bad, or bored time moves so slowly, it feels like forever, although it never is.
    And then when I'm having a blast, time seems to move super quickly.
    I assume based on comments from others, that they percieve it similarily, and how could they not?
    With that said;
    If person A has the fun of his life
    Person B has a traumtic, and horrible slow-moving situation
    While person C has a middling experience, not awful, not awesome, just fine.And they are in the same room doing the same actitvity.
    Person A will be the first to reach the end of that activity subjectively because time flew for him, C will finish later, and B is dragging along after C.
    They are operating in the same "now" interracting with eachother, yet they aren't at the same time through experience.
    So the activity started at 13:00 PM and is gonna last an hour. For person A that hour dissapears in a fell swoop. And maybe when the activity ended at 14:00 PM for person A, then person B is still at let's say 13:20 in his perception. While person C is better of than B and worse of than A sitting at 13:45 in his perception.
    This concludes that time only applies to those who don't feel ecstatic, and those whom are mildly or terribly bored.

      Conway79 I am somewhat confused with your reasoning, the future for one does exist, but with an insane quantity of possible outcomes which is certainly imperceptible- as we do not hold the number of variables to accurately calculate it- also the examples you gave are not necessarily time, but instruments that show the passing of time by having mechanical/ electronic timers follow an algorithm/ turn gears to read the measurement most commonly expressed as “time” although this is misleading- as time is obviously more complex and more theoretical.

      Its quite simple really, we dont live in the present, future or past. Say u could go 1000 yrs into the future. The exact instant u arrive, u would simply be in the present. U wouldnt be in the future. It was the future back in ur past 1000 yrs ago, but now its the present. ONLY things that have not yet happened can trully be in the future. An the present dosent even really exsits bc the exact instant u live, experience something in the present, it instantaneous becomes ur past. Its trully impossible 2 live in the present. Try 2 pinpoint a presnt moment in ur life. U cant. If u could pinpoint a exact moment in ur life it would obviously have 2 be in ur past. An as we all know, u CANT live in the past. So if u really think about it we dont-cant live in the past present or future. But yet here we r.... Simple right:))

    I have always felt that time is a dimension and everything in the universe is ‘falling’ towards the future.
    When you encounter strong gravity or high velocity, the speed at which you are ‘falling’ towards the future slows. (A bit like gliding in the air vs dropping straight down)
    If there is a way to counter this ‘falling’ then, I believe, time travel will become a reality.

    If you took all mass/energy out of the universe, would you still have time? I suspect yes, because space is expanding.
    But energy/mass moving through space could be interpreted as creating time by default. Time would be the delta, the relationship between energy/mass and space. Without energy/mass moving through space, there is no way to measure time.

      Hey man, I'm trying to understand this more, haha wish me luck, but the relationship between the mass of an object seems to be what allows these "weaker" and "stronger" forces to act on an object. Trying to describe something I don't grasp fully. Why does mass of an object/ particle affect the type of forces at play? Any kind of convo can help me

    • @Raptor302
      @Raptor302 Před 2 lety

      @@jurgeysamuel I'm not an expert by any means, and there are plenty of good CZcams channels like PBS Spacetime that explore these topics in depth. Having said that, the way I see it is we have four basic pillars (that we know of) in the universe:
      1. Matter
      2. Energy
      3. Space
      4. Time
      We also have four basic forces (that we know of):
      1. Weak Nuclear Force
      2. Strong Nuclear Force
      3. Magnetism
      4. Gravity
      We can group Matter/Energy together and Space/Time together, we also know that gravity appears to be a distortion in the space-time fabric.
      So let's look at the three 'intangibles' from our list: Space, Time, and Gravity. I suspect at least one (possibly more) of these three is an emergent property of the others. The question is which one is it? And can quantum fields and quantum theory give us the answer? Only time (no pun intended) will tell.

    • @littlefish4270
      @littlefish4270 Před 2 lety

      @@Raptor302 , time is a man made measurement referenced directly from the earths rotation. The earth does 1 full rotation on its axis every 24 hours thus the 24 hr clock, traditional clocks only measure 12 hours or a 1/2 rotation.
      So 1 hour of time = 1/24th of the earths rotation, this fact keeping in mind clocks are referenced off where they are measuring from ie, time zones.
      Simply put,
      All clocks world wide measure a proportion of the earths rotation, not time.
      Thus time is only a measurement & not a thing made of matter.
      When they say time changes like in relativity principles they are talking of an object doing the changing, not time itself because time is only a measurement.
      GPS's etc etc need correcting relative to time on earth because of the different actions/forces etc upon them thus the natural decay of the matter is different.

    If we think of time as something real, we're always going ask what came before (with its seemingly unlimited possibilities, an infinite future seems less daunting). If nothing existed, there would still be nothingness. Empty space just is. There's no beginning, middle, and end. Time is a human construct. It's a unit against which differing rates of change can be measured.

    Einstein himself may not have understood the true nature of Time, but he surely understood far more than any of us do. He said that the distinction we impose on the Past, Present and Future is nothing but a stubbornly held illusion. He must have understood something so vastly deep about time to say that.
