Got the te25th a few weeks ago. Haven't picked up another since.... Double bound, roasted maple, locking tuners.... STAINLESS STEEL Frets.... My babe..
I bought one. It's like a traditional telecaster but better. I like it.
The production model comes with a 3 ply pickguard at least. Be prepared to spend some time on these HB guitars to make them really work for you. They are great bargains anyways.

I've been looking at a Classic Vibe, but really, at 100's of monies less and at such high quality, I think I'd rather go with the HB.

Cool that these guitars are still available. I thought they were a limited edition and had sold out quickly after they were introduced.
They only going to be in production till the end of 2023. Still lots of time to get yours. So get while you can still can cause after this year is over, no more

They're selling out of all these 25th anniversary models. HB said when they are gone, that's all.
You mentioned the 'skunk stripe'... rosewood fretboard guitars shouldn't really have one if the truss rod was installed before the fretboard was fitted... obviously on a solid maple neck the truss rod has to be fitted through the rear of the neck and a skunk stripe installed to fill in the routing
I agree with you I don't like Pearloid or Tort pick guards. So white is not bad it could be worse LOL!

5:18 you didn't mention this in your review of HB TE-62 pink
I recently bought this guitar. Anyone know how it’s routed under the pick guard & bridge? Is it universal, or strictly single coil? I’m not too eager to take it all apart to find out 😅.
Believe me or not, I just bought 3 of these... And I now can tell why it's cheap 😅
I'll definitely keep the one that sounds the best (by far), which is also the lighter one (FYI), but will have to do some work to it to make it work like a hi end guitar. Including realign the entire bridge a bit lower on the body!
If you have some luthier skills AND do your own "quality control" (or be very lucky) it's a killer guitar. No doubt. It's sound really amazingly good for the price (even the pickups, but I ll change them anyway for the price of the entire guitar (it worth it)). And I'm in love with these modern spec keeping just the right vintage magic needed.
But I don't think that it's a good idea for a beginner that should better go for advice and real guitars to play in a local store.
Amen on lowering the bridge. I bought one, and even lowering the high E to its lowest point, the string is still a little too high. Do post a video on how you ended up doing this.
@@mikepeterson443when I said lower I meant closer to the 3-way switch. Because on the one I chose to keep with me, the strings are not very parallel to the neck. The low E reach the rim of the neck at the 21th fret. A shame. It worth mentioning that with the 3 guitars only one has the bridge perfectly align.

For your problem of low E string height, the solution is definitely to give your saddle a file work. 👍
@@FendCore I'm not going to fault HB for the imperfections because it's such a reasonably-priced guitar. On mine, the bridge is aligned pretty well (in terms of centering the strings on the neck). But the couple of issues I have is that the bridge sits a little high, so if I wanted to fix this, I would have to shave some wood off. The other issue is that there are a couple of high frets in the upper registers, making them buzz when I lower the strings. I plan on working on both of these issues at some point. The one issue that I can't fix is the weight, it's a little hefty compared to the other telecaster-style guitar I have. For now, I'm really happy with this purchase.
Mine is almost perfect but the polishing of the frets is pretty bad, bends are a bit scratchy. Dont have the experience to fix them on my own.
@@mathlovin2667 That's pretty easy to fix. You have several choices, I'll mention two: (1) Just play and eventually they will feel less grainy or (2) Get some fine grade steel wool and polish them up. Shouldn't take you more than 1/2 hour for the 2nd option. I opted for option 1, and the frets get better after a few days. Of course there are other options out there such as using metal polishing compound, but for me, that's not necessary.

The Harley Benton Les Paul copy would be a lot more comparable. But yes it’s crazy. I have a HB SC-550C EMG and I absolutely love it. Like my TE-62 more though.

Ironically HB parts do not necessarily fit HB guitars which is a bit odd but true. So that is nine bucks plus a Dremel I guess😊
