【獅子山下】 2小時遠足觀景• 歡笑多於唏噓 ｜【Lion Rock 】Easy Hiking from Hung Mui Kuk Nature Trail • Best panorama view

Lion Rock is a well-known mountain in Hong Kong with an elevation of 495 meters. Viewed from a distance, it resembles a lion sitting regally with its head facing west, as if to guard Hong Kong. We started our hiking from Hung Mui Kuk Nature Trail and has taken less than two hours to reach the Lion Rock peak.
The Lion Rock is also an inspiration of a classic Cantopop song "Beneath the Lion Rock" which contains the lyrics:
In life there is joy
and often tears are inevitable
If we as one can meet beneath the Lion Rock
there will be more smiles than sobs

獅子山是香港名山，因外表似獅子而得名，並含有保衛香港的象徵。其山峰海拔495米，以「紅梅谷自然教育徑」作起點，約兩小時到達山頂。在香港自七十年代起，有一首家傳戶曉的廣東歌也以「獅子山下」為名，歌頌香港人勤奮不屈的精神。歌詞這樣唱：
「人生中有歡喜
難免亦常有淚
我哋大家 在獅子山下相遇上
總算是歡笑多於唏噓」
