  • Says what it does on the label. I catch the 1st 180 in almost total darkness and then 181 and 253 pass each other at Schaumburg the week after!

Your videos have been helpful for research on this line’s coming visit from the beloved Empress. Little question if you’re able to give some advice. What are the top stations or crossings for high speed running? 2816 is limited to 50MPH apparently but I’d like to Catch it once on the MD-W before we try our luck getting it on the more rural stretches of the Chicago Sub.

@@MattKhosrowRailfan Most of my non-cheap radios are bought used to some degree. All the radios I used in this video came from eBay. My Yaesu that I typically record off of if I have my own vehicle with me came from Ham Radio Outlet.
For the first half of this video I recorded off an Icom R6 plugged into a Sony recorder and running off a mag mount antenna. The radio I actually have on me is a Kenwood TK-2180. For the second one it was recorded off the Icom again, but I had it on me instead of in the car and had earbuds plugged in. In the radio video and in the “let’s make a video” extra video from a while ago I go into how I do it a little more. I would’ve used the Yaesu to record like I normally do but this week I was having car problems and had to borrow one to get here.
