  • The sounds of Yiddish make many of us feel at home, whether we understand every word or not.
On the anniversary of Kristallnacht, PAS gathered to pay our respects in a heartfelt memorial service followed by a special Yiddish concert led by the PAS Music Department.
Let your PAS Cantors take us to simpler times, connect us to our heritage, and remember moments of the past as they sing Yiddish music like you’ve never heard before.

Thank you so much for the Yiddishkeit. I'm a former Yeshiva brocher who attended Sholomo Kluger on Houston St. In the late 1930s. I am 88 now in California.

What a delightful Yiddish concert. It brought memories of my grandparents who sang Yiddish songs to me growing up. There are so many Yiddish songs, a second concert would be another delightful evening,

But they like you never realized the hate of their neighbours outside after concert. They perished and you have no idea what awaits.

    SHLOM HOUV'BRAHA.

The prayers at the beginning of the concert are in Hebrew, of course!
But the performancend songs are in Yiddish. I know many of them and, as a native German speaker, I understand most of the language.
      Many regards from Germany!
