Hearing the sounds again is like saying hello again to an old friend you haven't seen in a long time. And the shutdown is like saying goodbye to someone you're losing forever. RIP Windows 7, probably the best operating system I've used. Thanks for raising me with great memories.
Don't you remember how when you're at school and you started out the computer was really fast and over the years the start-up just kept on getting slower and slower as the computer got older and older
I remember before are school switched windows 7 to laptops some of the computers that had windows 7 had missing keyboard cases or mouse buttons and one of them was on a debug screen
Man I miss windows 7 hard. Such a beautiful O.S. Such a shame to see it get phased out by what Microsoft thinks are better ones. This one was the best. Every time I see this one it just puts a smile on my face.
You’re making me cry right now, it was my first os I ever used 😭😭😭 I used to play games, listening to nursery rhymes and watch SpongeBob all day I’m literally crying right now I remember the startup music and shutdown music as well

oh god my old computer feels NOSTALGIC TO BRING THIS and the description is also real for me i miss the windows logo glowing edit: i cried when the windows logo appeared it was such a beauty to see this
Same here. It was 2011. GamersHood and GameMew had tons of flash games. Neverending Level Game, The Impossible Quiz, Combine, Color Dots, Shoot & Grow, Brilliant Crystals, Ball Drop One, Bubble Buster/Breaker, the list goes on and on. Played the h*ll out of them.
i used to play on my dads old laptop that used to run this, hearing the start up and screen gave me a lot of nostalgia still remember when I broke it by spilling water on the keyboard then getting beaten and yelled at lol
I remember that only 4 years ago my school was still using windows 7. Then it just switched to windows 10 as soon as it came out. Still was pretty unreal to move there and find out that people were still using it though
I have a Windows 7 computer and it was rly slow but then we updated it to windows 10 and now it's even GODAMN slower than before. Man wish we got that newer windows 10 sooner The nostalgia hits HARD
Actually kind of crazy that for the majority of my life, Windows 7 was the OS most people were still using, and something i used throughout around 80% of my education. I was born in 2005, Windows 7 came out in 2009 and pretty quickly became standard in schools and work, because the difference between it and XP were so massive by that point - though I recall in nursery, messing around with an old 98 PC they had, and as a young kid a lot of people still had computers with XP. Windows 8 and 8.1 just wasnt that good on the desktop, and wasnt worth upgrading to. So up until around 2015 - 2016 I hadnt used anything other than 7, after briefly trying out 10 which was a buggy mess full of telemetry. Until 2020, Windows 7 was still being used in schools. I had used Windows 7 for around 11 years straight, with light usage of 10.
1:19 In just a few seconds so many memories of my dad logging into my account for me when I was 4-5 years old (because I didn't know the password hahaha) and how I would play on that computer for hours 🥲😭! (I mostly just did typing since I loved and still love to write stories lmao.) I would do anything to go back to that time and hear the log in sound effect one last time...BUT FIRST WE NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE HELL MY DAD PUT THE COMPUTER :D! (Also this is random but seeing 1:05 just made me laugh because I remember how that loading screen used to annoy the HELL out of me 😂!)
I was born on 08 we never had a computer but I do remember using this in the computer lab at school pretty nostalgic we had this os I beleive till like 2016-2017
If yall want more nostalgia just go to the search bar in win10, search Change System Sounds, open it, and check Enable Windows Startup Sound. Its the same sound as windows 7.
I really missed windows 7. Its the windows version that i use when i am 4 - 6 years old. Im having alot of fun with it. And i guess its my first windows i guess.

That’s just like my computer. I used to have a windows 10 computer!I heard that sound and It was exactly like this video. I like that sound when you get turn on your computer and get on that screen but What Sound I don’t like is when I shut down the computer
The year is 2011 and your school computer lab uses Dell desktop pcs running Windows 7. Today you are allowed to do puzzles and math games. You start the computer and after seeing the the '100% complete' and 'Welcome', you hear the startup sound and the desktop appears. You double click Internet Explorer, since it's the only web browser the school allows you to use on their computers. It doesn't open. You double click again, and again. Suddenly, three windows open. You close out two and put the last into full screen. In the url bar you type 'coolmathgames.com', and your teacher allows it since it must host cool math games.
Honestly I strongly believe windows 7 was pretty much the last good version of windows. I use windows 8.1 now and Ive loaded it to the brim with mods to make it look and run like Win7 because metro is a pretty terrible interface for anyone that isnt just using very basic office applications and games. Aero is also a sorely missed graphic design style since I heavily prefer skeumorphism over the current trend of everything having to be flat and minimalistic (pretty much just empty)
Wait I do have nostalgic playing with my dad laptop I played Pvz and a freight train something not Microsoft train simulator can someone tell what it is?
