  • There are few better anglers capable of building a big hit of carp on a pressured day-ticket venue than Mark Bartlett.
    Bart heads to Mallard Lake on the Bluebell Lakes complex to demonstrate exactly how he does it.
    Bart talks accuracy, rigs and arguably the most important factor of all when it comes to big-hit carping, bait application.
    A fantastic insight into how and why Bart is one of the best in the business!

    Totally agree with the last comment, we carnt all good out and buy 5kg sacks of the best new dna baits, and rock up on lakes with all the best of the best its not a true reflection of a regular angler

      Cant do "bait fishing" if you cant afford to do it then really. Using a few kg over any 48hr + trip is very easy done. If you get the fish come on you, clear you out, if you haven't got the bait to top up you wont get the hits.... simple.
      Partical is cheap enough from anywhere maybe consider that to bulk it out.

      If you look at his mix so Mark knocked 1 bucket up for a night in that went 3 big scoops of 8mm 2 big scoops 14mm 2 scoops of corn and 3 scoops of hemp and some pellet.
      Yes hes used 3 different Dna 5kg bags but hes not used 5kg of each for what hes shown you its probably about 1kg from each bag
      Do a 10kg deal u get the hook baits 10kg of bait and the syrup bag of pellet ontop of that
      Down to your local farm or pet shop to get the hemp at worst you are looking at £2 per kg prep it yourself and whats a bag of sweet corn £1 from iceland?
      So whats that £120 if there on you and you wanna catch them might do you 5 nights might stretch to 7 but even if you get 5 nights out of it its only £24 a night on bait thats naff all
      These guys are sucessfull because they put the time and the effort in
      You want to catch like Bart and Tom you have yo work for it like Mark and Tom

      @@garethvear777 I'm only 15 teen where do you think I get that money from but my pb is a 32lb common on corn and hemp just trying to help people with no money get out and go fishing

    • @markh8593
      @markh8593 Před 3 lety

      @@garethvear777 exactly, on venues like this I do fill it in. I use different bait in a different way... crumb up loads, plus liquids and so forth they are an edge. It is an expensive way in some cases but it works... you need to do things different to everyone else that's why it works so well. I buy bulk so works out a bit cheaper.

    • @markh8593

      @@spikeypilot5653 corn and hemp is good. Dirt cheap... your age is obviously a factor, you dont have a job 🤷‍♂️ that like fisherman who are on the dole 😂 you cant expect these sort of anglers to cater for people that dont have any money??? They are sponsored to promote companies to sell the goods to make money for the company.....
