There are people today claiming that our random league win over Manchester City today is our best ever league win. I'm just posting this here so people can see how ridiculous that is years from now when that win is forgotten.
@@RyderSontaigI find it hard to believe, as a City fan, that a club like Palace beating us is your best league win. I know Pep’s City are up there with the very best of all time but it’s odd to hear as Palace have had some decent teams over the years.
I remember listening to this match on the radio and Palace certainly worked hard to get the win. However we had to thank Birmingham for winning their match as well (against Huddersfield I think) otherwise Palace would've still gone down
I was at that huddersfield Birmingham game we had nothing to play for as we had already got our play off place we won 2 1 curtis woodhouse got both goals we went up In the play offs that year its mad how things change
End of 2000-01 Championship Season County finished 2 places and 2 points above Palace. How the mighty have fallen 19th place County are now in the Conference while Palace are Premier League.
Just to add, the Stockport fans were very kind, not only did they cheer Palace afterwards but their fans kept coming up to us afterwards and saying congratulations. Stockport gained a lot of respect from me that day!
as a Stockport fan(yes we still do exist) it's painful to see how far we've dropped and how high everyone has risen
