  • Dave Brandt is a nationally recognized speaker and farmer from Carroll, OH. Dave is an early adopter of soil health practices, and has been using no-till and cover crops since the 1970's. He's earned many accolades, including Ohio Agriculture's Man of the Year and the Ohio Conservation Educator Award from the Ohio No-Till Council.
We are thrilled that Dave was able to join us for our field day and communicate important messages about soil health practices on his farm to local farmers.

David is a great teacher, as he says if you don't fail, how are you to learn.

I can plant and grow corn and peas in no till setting, but would sure like to see videos on planting regular garden style videos that are practical for small acreage farmers

The excesses and wrong practices of the present and the historical example (the dust bowl), speaks of a cautionary tale which squarely places the blame on the greed and excess of big business and government. There are many influences in the big picture but the overall analysis is not that complicated ....it is being controlled and driven not to benefit our societies but those in the business world. We are headed for a day of reckoning and our destructive practices will usher and hasten that occurrence. God gave us the responsibility to be the best stewards of the bounty that exists and we could with minimal effort reap tremendous bounty. The science of the agricultural knowledge you presented bares this out. Without a humble and reasoned approach we will suffer at the hands of our own gross stupidity

could really sum it up alot easier with just saying money is the driving force of any industry/business/company. It's not that deep and most people know this. No one works for us, we work for them.

David Brandt is the most unlikely soil health advocate, and he speaks to the conventional people well. I'm shocked that 100% of his neighbors are still conventional.
