My first Camino was the Camino Portugues from Baiona to Santiago at 65 years old! Now at 67 I’ll be returning for Camino #3, starting in Sarria!! I definitely have felt that Camino magic and understand your feelings when it’s hard to find the words to describe how this magic changes you. In watching your video I found myself saying “I’ve been there!” on numerous occasions! And just like Lisa, got goosebumps when I first saw the Cathedral, followed by a good ugly cry!! 😭 I can’t wait to do it all again. Thanks for taking me back to happy times. Buen Camino to you both, wherever you’re headed next. 💕
I hiked the last 100 km of the Camino 10 years ago. I was not a hiker at all. A woman chastised me for holding my poles wrong. This was actually a good thing. All I remember is that I loved meeting new people and the Camino. I am planning on hiking the entire Camino, not sure when. I loved the way you started your video. It got me hooked right away. Buen Camino!
I think going back and redoing the Camino and taking back the bad memories and making them better is honorable. Very enjoyable to watch.
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
❤❤❤
I ALWAYS FIND MYSELF TEARING UP WITH JOY AT THE END OF EVERY VIDEO WHEN JOSH WRAPS UP YOUR JOURNEYS.
LISA, I LUV YOUR SIMPLICITY AND WARM SMILE. I SEE WHY JOSH LOVE YOUR COMPANY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. I WOULD BE PUMPED AND READY TO GO TRAVEL THE WORLD WITH A POSITIVE, CHILL BUDDY LIKE YOU.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH
INSPIRATION YOU'VE GIVEN
US.🥰🎉🥂🍾
I love how authentic you guys are. It;s a breath of fresh air.
Hey, guys...I so very much enjoyed watching this the second time around. Been following y'all for a long time. I remember saying, way back in the 30k range, that you'll be getting to 100k in no time. And...look! You're almost there! I don't always comment but I always watch and...enjoy. Love y'all. Keep on truckin'; I'm with you all the way! 🙂
Thank you for sharing your love story. The documentary was also excellent. Very inspiring and mind framing.
Thank you Lisa and Josh for making this incredible video series on the Camino Portuguese. I'll be walking this September, starting in Porto. I'll be walking on my 67th birthday and hopefully with a friend, who is about to leave for Europe tomorrow... Anyway, I'm so excited to walk this Camino, and I'll be watching this entire series again. You both have inspired me so much and if I do go by myself, that's ok!! I'm confidante in my abilities to navigate and make this Camino my own. Thank you again, you two made me totally laugh at some points, and shed a tear at the end...God bless you both!! ♥
My 13yr old son and I just finished watching this and he was so inspired to do the Camino as a family. Thank you for such a good documentary! Hopefully we’ll make it there in the next few years.
we love hearing this!! we'd love to do the camino with our family some day! hope you guys get to go soon!
I'm going coastal in precisely a month. This video was both an inspiration and a help, thanks :) And thanks to this one, I'm staying coastal ;)
Epic doc! The most genuine and honest travel channel on the tube. Love you guys big time. Not crying. Allergies. Well done.
I think I found your guy's channel during your last Camino and it's so clear that you're so much happier during this one! Taking it slower and stopping more definitely helped you enjoy it more! I think you've inspired me to do the Camino myself...
I did my camino in 2022 and watch this channel before I left now I am encouraged to do this one ❤
Just finished watching your vlog. Thanks so much for sharing this experience will all of us! I’ve watched many of your vlogs, and this one is my favorite! I’ve never thought about doing the Camino, and now I want to! Awesome job you guys!!
Looking forward to watching this. Enjoyed your camino journeys over the years.
Wow,your Camino trip blew my mind thanks for sharing guys.
This is incredibly enlightening! I'm planning to embark on the Camino next year, and I've been grappling with the decision between the central and coastal routes.
Thank you 😊
So excited to watch, just found you again in my feed. Yeay!
I will never have the opportunity to travel like you two. I'm living through you guys. I agree with the coastal routes near the ocean. Much more beautiful. Less noisy car traffic. Good decision. ❤
Soooo happy to see you both doing the Camino again, but from Portugal this time! Looking forward to seeing where your next adventure takes you!
Best route from Porto is Coastal to Caminha then follow river to Valenca/Tui.
Really emotional watching the end!
Beautiful pilgrimage!
Beautiful video!
Congrats!!
Just watched your video and loved it! I am ready to start planning a trip there! Keep up the awesome adventures!
Great video the two of you have a fantastic attitude. Bon camiño
Beautiful video! Loved it!
I find myself wining and reclining with both of you after a crazy ass shift at the hospital. It provides me the perfect kind of solemn warm perspective that there’s so much to life. I just appreciate both of you and all the videos you make. Created with such warm, genuine, and realistic viewpoint in traveling.
I’m working in US right now, but I hope soon you can try to visit my hometown Cebu, Philippines.
Safe travels always 🫰🏼
I never got the notification of these last two videos!!! Can’t wait to binge these!
Wonderful video, I am inspired, the coastal route looks so lovely.
I remember your first Camino video. It seems that the Camino reprise was a great idea. The 'mood' of the video is so different. Thanks for sharing. I couldn't begin to imagine the effort to video-share my camino. Glad you do!
Teary eyed when you reached Santiago. Congrats🎉
My first Camino experience is the Portuguese Way and i loved it!
You really inspired me and my husband to walk the camino as well. Thank you for sharing this, absolutely love your videos. :)
Wow i laughed and teared up great vid . WINE AND RECLINE a winner👍
Just watched this. Fantastic and real. Stay real have fun and do more please.
Nice to see that you got into the food and wine Portuguese spirit 😁 And the Vinho Verde 🙏
Hey
Lisa and Josh ! Thank you for posting.
Beautifully filmed and documented. Coastal Portuguese will definitely be my next Camino.
Found this channel from your first Camino vid….and now I’m your fan!
I cried so many times watching your video!! Sooo Beautiful and Joyful!!! Can’t wait to do it next April!! 2025!!!❤️
You are amazing Lisa and Josh, woohoo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I started watching your CZcams’s a few months ago when your Japan trips popped up as I watch many many Japan videos.. then I subscribed to your channel. Then I was interested in your Australia videos (I am Australian). Thank you for all of your videos and all the work you put into making these videos.
We got food poisoning too. I had to laugh and said we clearly needed to purge before entering the pearly gates!😅
the coastal route is the best...the remoteness of it makes it awesome...love that you are going back!! have been there 3 times and will go back again, not sure which route...but then maybe Lucca to Rome???!!! So awesome that you are going back to the coast...just shows how smart you are!!!! Natas are the best! she is right...do the Frances first...and in the end it is just another Camino...but that is the most awesome thing you can say...we ARE just pilgrims...waiting for the next Camino...many thanks for this, you guys are awesome! stay well!
buen camino!
Enjoyed your journey
We are taking Lisa's advice, and will be starting our first Camino, the Frances, in just six weeks! Very excited! We definitely plan on taking time to smell the roses (and the bread).
Very inspiring 👏
Thank you so much for the documentary video! Taking Josh's advice, I'm doing my first Camino this fall on the Portuguese Coastal route. And joining Lisa, petitioning to bring Wine & Recline back fulltime!👟🍷😃
yesss!! buen camino! :)
Thank you for the video. It's really inspired me. Love you both, Keep it up ❤
Love the video! Love your journey!
Excited for this Camino update! We are on the Camino Portuguese now, and literally just stayed at the Talaso Atlantico last night per your video (and recommendation)! What an amazing spot! Also we stayed in Hotel Jardim in Viana do Castelo nice spot as well!
Congratulations! I'm still a research pillgrin. Thank you for the tips!
Great video!
Using wine and recline from here on out! Fun adventure. Enjoying these longer videos. Watched the Tokyo one yesterday
Hola, Well Done! Pre-planning my first Comino for the spring of 2025. Your doc has helped fuel the fire! Gracias.
Well adding this route to the must do list!!!!
This is awesome adventure ❤
love following you guys
Fantastic video. You have inspired me to do the Camino.
loved watching this again, and I'm so happy you got to do it again with a different mindset with all the difference that makes.
I'm curious how much you think the difference in weather/season/amount of pilgrims impacted your different experiences of the two caminos?
looking forward to the 3rd walk~ :)
The Camino magic ..... I did my 1st Camino last year May (last 100km stretch from Sarria to Santiago) and during my last 2 days of walking, already starting to think of walking 2nd Camino as I couldn't get enough of it. And yes, planning for my 2nd one (so happen will be Camino Portuguese from Porto).
Been watching a while guys always enjoy your videos, unable to do myself so travel through a couple of travel bloggers, 1 pair I know you know. Have fun.
You both are A MA Z I N G ❤ LOVE YOU BOTH ! Incredible video ❤ great spirit ❤ loved every bit if it ❤
Had a great time watching your adventure through a second time. Looking forward to your next Camino (and my next Camino, too! 🤣)
earlier today i started willing for a sign to stay in portugal after i see ms t swift in lisbon next month, some sort of adventure, and now i get ideas put in my head and a long L&J video, i am a happy woman
Thanks!
wow, thank you!! :)
We just watch your second camino and loved it we are french and we were wandering if you might plan one day to do the part of the camino in France. You will love the food lol😂 and we will enjoy watching you
Hey you guys, we love your videos. We live in Porto, Portugal and can fully relate with the locations you showed. Including all of the food....Portugal has the greatest food....If you come back here hit us up for lunch or dinner. JP Porto
Bom camino ❤
Yay, good to see you guys back. I really want to do this coastal route. Did you travel during winter? Is this a good time? Or maybe shoulder season instead? I don't want to go when it's full on peak season. And Eucalyptus trees? In Portugal? As an Aussie, I would be super confused by that! I've gotta ask, Josh, where do you get your T-shirts? They are so cool!
Well done again Lisa and Josh. Is the VF on your radar? Lausanne to Rome is pretty special. Buen Camino!
Thanks for walking the Camino de Santiago so I don't have to. I was really impressed by the end of this video regarding the significance of your journey. I'm keeping the flippant first comment, but needed to add the emotion felt by watching you along the way.
Travel Thursday!!!!!!!
We start our Portuguese Camino in August, beginning in Lisbon. We did the French in May/June 2022. 😊
Hey you two, thanks for the great redo. Very informative. I do have a question. How do you deal with jetlag? With some ofyour shorter 3 day trips to Asia, what is your secret for not dragging your behind? Lol I would love to be able to quickly recover.
Congratulations! Really enjoyed this vlog. Trying to make a "next camino" decision. I walked the full CF last year and loved it. Next year I want to bring my wife but she can only do 1-2 weeks. My original plan was CF for 10 days somewhere in the middle. She loves architecture and farm fields. Do I forgo the Spanish towns and fields for the verklempt feeling of walking into Santiago. We live near the ocean and love it but maybe we won't appreciate it like you did. Aaaagh, any thoughts would be welcome! Your video made it harder! Glad you had so many sunny days on this one!
Was this in 2023 or 2024? I did the Frances in 2022 and had watched your 2021 journey. I have wanted to do this one ever since! I’ll have to send my suitcase ahead like I did on the Frances, so I’ll have to plan ahead. Thanks for the info on the towns you stayed in!❤
Have you guys ever thought of going in the amazing race? I would love to hear your thoughts on that show!
I’ve watched both of your visits and I think I liked watching the Portuguese side even better! Loved the coastal views. I was reading you can also plan this on a mountain bike…what are your thoughts on that?
It is all about the good stuff "on the other side!" We leave in 42 days to start our next Camino. ❤🙌🏼
Kiitos!
Thank you!! :)
LOL glad you guys are enjoying but my idea of vacation is lounging ;)
In regards to josh's fear of flying. I used to be deathly afraid of flying until i did my research on it and its one of the safest modes of transportation. Did you know you jave more chance of dying by a donkey than in an airplane? Honestly the thing that finally snapped me out of it was landing in Chicago through severe weather. Ever since then ive actually come to enjoy flying
Anyway your journey is inspiring! This is on my bucket list but not sure im fit enough for it!!
Sick in bed rn and watching this is giving me life! Thanks for sharing your guys’ adventure ❤ can you share what you guys packed / recommend for future pilgrims?
they have a video up about what they packed for this trip :)
@@mhn7700 thanks ! i found it and it was super helpful haha
Hi. You seem to like pilgramage. How about the Shikoku 88 temple pilgramage, or Kumano Kodo pilgramage (in Japan)? ☺
Love your camino videos, Ive started planning to walk it with my husband & our 10 year old, taking our time to enjoy it!
Can I please ask, what trainers is Lisa wearing on this walk, they look comfortable with a nice wide toe box at the front?
it's these ones! :) amzn.to/3UsVa0T
Wo w かっこいいVlogです。素晴らしい‼️ ありがとうございます。 日本より
Love it! I did sarria to santiago last year. Then road tripped through portugal. This year, I'm doing porto to santiago via the litoral and spiritual. Your videos have me more excited than I already was! Any must do or definitely not worth it experience?
I have now added Palma as well...
Hi! What month did you go please? Lots of things closed. That’s unfortunate.
Is this a 2024 walk or a replay of the 2023 walk? Lots of the footage looks familiar.
When did you start from Porto?
What time of year did you do this adventure?
It fixed all my Ikea furniture 🤣
Hey guys can you please tell us in which month you did the Camino? Cause the weather looks very good and not too hot
they said in february 😊
If you could re-walk one mile what mile would that be?
I travel vicariously through travel CZcamsrs because of my fear of flying…. Hopefully one day I can overcome this irrational fear, too!
YES! I hope for that for you too. for me it was taking time to turn down all the ambient anxiety that was surrounding me in my life, and then, poof, the fear of flying went away with it.
i hope to see you on the camino, or in tokyo, or sit next to you on a plane someday :)
@@LisaAndJosh thank you! The thoughtfulness of this message means a lot 🥲 ❤️
It's refreshing to see other people take in what the camino has to offer without searching every moment for some sort of life altering symbolism that doesn't exist. Sometimes the best words of encouragement are "no vino, no camino."
$100 a day! That’s not really a budget trip😂I spent around £600 for the entire Frances including flights to and from the UK!
For a moment I thought you did a third Camino.
This seems a re-cut of the second one into one big Doco.
100$ a day a lot of money, it’s almost luxurious Camino.
Anyone know the song at 42:20?
If I had the chance to do this I would like to bike it. Unless walking is the only way.
