    Tyler, the Creator - IGOR
    / igor
    open.spotify.com/album/5zi7Ws...
Produced entirely by Tyler himself, the album features guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Solange, Kanye West, and Jerrod Carmichael. Preceding the release of Flower Boy (2017), the album was primarily recorded in California, with recording sessions also being held in Lake Como, Italy, and Atlanta between 2017 and 2019.
Music journalists have noted that Igor continues to build on the hip hop and neo soul sound established in Flower Boy, while also incorporating R&B and funk influences. Critics have noted the album's use of synthesizers and low-mixed vocals. Thematically, Igor follows a narrative of a love triangle between the titular character and his male love interest. The album employs the "Igor" literary archetype to explore themes associated with love, such as heartbreak, loss, and jealousy.
To help market the album, Tyler, the Creator released the single "Earfquake", which reached number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming his highest charting single. In its first week of release, Igor debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, moving 165,000 album-equivalent units and becoming Tyler, the Creator's first US number-one album. It was a widespread critical success, being named among the best albums of 2019 in many publications' year-end lists, and won Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

The "I can make her leave" and the part where "leave" gets harmonized is my favorite little touch in this song (around 18:48 is where it starts then the leave gets harmonized a couple of seconds after). This generally makes it euphoric to listen to with a good pair of headphones on because of how harmonic it is! One of the great things about this album is that parts of Igor's Theme is used throughout the album. A solid headphone or stereo lets you pick up on the bits that are worked in.

I love your dad's enthusiasm and how you balance it as the "straight man". Fun discovering and rediscovering music through you guys. Can't wait for some Mac Miller.

IGORS THEME is such an amazing album opening. it literally feels like the opening cutscene to a boss fight

This is one of my favorite reactions that you two have done, probably next to Currents and the Silk Sonic album. Your guys’ bond, personalities, and humor are absolutely infectious, and seeing how much you both appreciate all the elements of the music you listen to, big and small, is something that just puts a smile on my face (especially being a musician myself, seeing Connor’s dad point out and absolutely GEEK over the production and arrangement of the songs is so gratifying to watch). Easily my favorite reaction channel, you guys rock
