"The Rapture" is one of those films i just stumbled on back in the early 90s on cable one night, had never heard of it and had no idea what it was. i ended up really liking it, found it very interesting. but biblical stuff often is even though i am completely not a religious person. always liked "Grand Canyon", and not that it has anything to do with anything but when i was very young my father and i use to take road trips there all the time, and through the painted dsert and petrified forest. very very faded but good memories.

Ebert gave The Silence of the Lambs a thumbs up when it initially was released. Yes, it didn’t make his top ten, but over time, he included it in his “Great Movies” series. Hearts of Darkness was the movie that reminded Siskel how much he loves movies? This from someone who hated 99% of films for stupid little petty personal reasons. Lets be honest, he was appallingly bad at his job, and got it wrong far too often.
@@rayray66 No, it's just an objective opinion after watching him review hundreds of films. And I'm in England, so I never saw these when originally broadcast, it was never shown over here. I'm just catching up with them now.
_Grand Canyon_ should've been nominated for Best Picture - one of the best films of the 1990s. And _The Rapture_ is a dreamy, chilling masterpiece.

I like Grand Canyon, and Boyz 'N tha Hood and Thelma and Louise are classics!

Honestly, my favorite film of '91 is Eric Red's Body Parts. T2 would be my #2.

T & L was good, The Rapture was fascinating, Grand Canyon was worthy, but not an animation lover.
