As a Hornets fan I’d be open to trading Melo for the right deal but when Melo is healthy he has MVP potential. Why trade him to the Magic for draft picks that will forever be in the bottom of the first round. You make that trade to a team that will potentially be in the lottery for at least one of those years or no picks and get a player like Banchero in return. Hornets don’t have OKC type draft picks where they have 3-4 1st and can take chances. Nothing about that trade makes any sense at all to me.
The only trade remotely plausible (and I do say remotely) is Mitchell to LA. But the way Mitch is playing this playoff run, hes gunna wanna test free agency to get max $$. Teams arent gunna offer a massive haul for a potential 6-month rental. The other 3 trades are laughably dumb. Esp the Knicks giving Randle + 3 firsts for PG13. I want whatever bro smoking who concocted that one 😂

The LA and CLE trade I think has a flaw. The Pelicans own either of those picks. I think the stepian rule blocks that trade.

That's a pretty hard no for the Pels. Young may be a force offensively, but he is a score first guard just like CJ. He can't defend to save his life and the Pels rely on D. BI hasn't lived up to potential and the Pels have significant positional overlap with Trey Murphy and Herb Jones, but no way they dump BI to hitch their wagon to Young.

The PG trade to the Knicks is terrible in my opinion at this stage of his career PG is not better than Julius Randle and also PG is not worth 3 first round picks and plus had the world forgetting he severely broke his leg a few years ago and is very injury prone every season after that

Nah the really missed a playmaker. But i dont think Lamelo is the one there looking for. I would consider Murray from the Hawks. Only thing you need to know if Murray and Banchero are fine together. Since i believe Magics will prioritize two-way guys. And i think that Murray in that system and guys will show his defense almost on the same level in his spurs days.

Knicks can get PG13, but it'd have to be via S+T, and they're NOT giving that up for that. Randle will not be traded for PG13, if they deal him it'll be for a younger #1 like Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, or Giannis Antetokounmpo, not an old PG13.
