    FEAR THE THE WALKING DEAD
In Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, we follow this mysterious outbreak as it threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble. The pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, and survival of the fittest takes hold, as our dysfunctional family finds they must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.
    Episode 4x3 'Good Out Here'
Madison and Morgan try to help Nick find inner peace. A quest for revenge exacts its toll on the group.

The fact that grown adults were (and still do) sending death threats to Alexa Nisenson (Charlie) is absolutely disgusting and something I will never understand. Not only is that never okay but she was only 11 when this aired. She's only 17 now. I never understood the mindset to do that to ANYONE let alone a literal child.

I like that someone, a journalist, is recording the stories of ppl she runs into and the state of the state. It makes sense someone would and I like the preserving history aspect but she does get a little crazy with it. I guess risking your life for stories and giving up ramen for them, u would want to protect them. Lol

In an interview in Entertainment Weekly in 2018 the actor that plays Nick, Frank Dillane, explained in an interview the reason for his decision to leave the show:
"I had been doing it for three or four years, the show has undergone many changes in terms of different people in charge, all of this stuff, and I just felt like the beginning of this season kind of felt like the end of an era with this show. And television is hard work, and you have to shoot a lot. I also missed Europe very much. I'm not American, so after a while I get quite homesick and all of those things. I also felt like we had achieved what needed to be achieved in the first few seasons, so I thought it was time to keep moving."
New showrunners and I'm sure he saw some of the scripts and ideas coming in Season 4.
Let's just say a lot of people fell off this series, especially fans that have been following TWD Seasons 7 and 8 and were kinda tired of Morgan's rinse and repeat story line.

I'm over on Patreon and he is loving s4 so far (He is on 4x12). Wish people would stop giving their opinions about future seasons that he has not seen yet. He can form his own opinions as time goes on. Just because you feel one way, doesn't mean he will.
Also regarding this episode, I absolutley loved Nick and was crushed that he died. But it was completley justifiable what Charlie did. In her mind, the person that was taking care of her was just brutally murdered by Nick so in her mind she was getting justice for him. She was only 11 at the time and was being extremely manipulated. I'm glad a reactor finally acknowledged that! The fact that it is 2024 and fans still don't get that is beyond me.

Her name is 'Al' Althea Szewczyk-Przygocki (Polish-American) she's the journalist.
I disagree GW, S3 started off with good potential, there were the odd episode I wasn't really feeling, but overall it was good and believable and S1-S2 was great, it was about survival. However, once Dave Erickson writer and producer left end of S3 it was downhill from thereon out. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg served as the showrunners for the fourth to eighth season AND IT SHOWS, succeeding Erickson from the first three. The series concluded on November 19, 2023, after eight seasons and 113 episodes.
I remember when I first watched this episode 4x3 and couldn't understand the signifance of the flowers, but we didn’t like it when we saw Nick laying down in the flowers and thought THEY BETTER NOT, then thought don't be silly, its our paranoia, but when it happened we were still shocked and upset when they killed Nick off, one of the best main characters - didn’t really see that coming apart from the flower scene beforehand. Nick (Frank Dillane) probably wanted out when he saw the ridiculous scripts ahead, 4a was OK, 4b terrible, S5 was boring and unbearably bad, S6 started off with the odd OK episode, but got really bad before the halfway point, BUT S7 & S8 unrealistic, unrecognisable characters who do things completely out of character from the main cast who are good actors with so much potential ruined (apart from one character, but cannot say more about them at this stage otherwise I'd give away a spoiler, but they were always mostly bad) and both seasons are the worst writing I've EVER seen in tv history, lazy writing, inconsistencies, unbelievable things happening that would be impossible and no explanations given and a load of magical things appearing at the groups disposal, ridiculous storylines, the list is endless of how bad things really get. I cannot even bring myself yet to finish S8 right now, my brain is SCREAMING STOOOOOOOP and my viewing partner in crime and I should have finished it many weeks ago, but it's so pathetically painful and boring, we're REALLY strugging so have put it on the back-burner for a while, but I'm loyal like that, I might just watch the last 8 or 9 episodes in 1 day with the view of it being a really bad comedy as if they were on crack c*caine when they were writing it, to see how flipping ridiculous and awful it got before the pain FINALLY ended.
I would be very surprised if you went passed S5/S6 GreyWolf. I just can't see you doing it unless you're the sort of person that thinks I started it so must/would like to complete it.

I hated this so much! Nick was my favorite character from the start. I related to him so much and thought he would last till the end with his survival skills from his addiction. He was special and like he said in season 1 after they escaped the military hospital, he's been living in this world for yrs, everyone's finally catching up to him. Truth is, he wanted to leave the show, 😢, but regardless, this is a huge loss for the show and the story imo. RIP Nick, fuck Charlie!

in regards to the chronicling of events read the World War Z book if you haven't already - not a novel and 96% nowt like the film but instead it's a series of interviews from people around the world telling their part in the story, from initial outbreak to the final conclusion.

This death is the equivalent of Carl's death in the mother series.

Nick's actor was done and wanted off the show... but this is where the show died for me. All the good actors/characters kept getting killed... imo everything after this episode is downhill. --- to the people who get cranky at those of us who express dislikes... greywolf can think for himself! 😊
