The Arthur M Anderson Says Hello to the Cruise Ship! Departs Duluth loaded with Ore, not Tourists!

About this visit:
The Anderson arrived Duluth May 05, 2024 for the 5th time this season. They came dog walking in at 6.2 kts, arriving light heading to the CN dock to laod Iron Ore.They arrived at the CN dock at 19:33 at the gravity chutes and tied up. At 21:17 they scooted up to shuttles (North on the dock) and either resumed loading or began loading. They finished the load June 06 at 06:12 and departed the CN dock. They headed out of duluth at 07:42, sailing out the cana at 5.8 kts, they reached the full speed 12.4 kts about 3 miles out from the bridge. Heading to Toledo to deliver the ore and catch a Mudhens Game..Their 3rd trip to Toledo for the season.

Built by the American Shipbuilding Co., Lorain, OH, as hull #868, the Anderson was launched Feb. 16, 1952 for the Pittsburgh Steamship Div., U.S. Steel Corp., in Cleveland, OH.
