The lyrics are good I think the translation isn't done well as it missed the mark at many points. The subtitles aren't timed well.
For example the line "Darling, The love in my heart is true" *truth is a typo* It should actually be Darling, you don't know much love there is in my heart.
maybe you felt it dragging because you didn't understood some of the references and it felt flat for you. I think you should revisit the movie some day and you may actually enjoyed it more
