      @@GavinHoey It's great software. I've used my Nikon Z5 and hooked with USB-c (plus the Nikon webcam software) to my laptop on OBS. it runs power delivery and streaming. Did more than 7 hours with no heat issues. People were coming at me telling me my streaming and video was superb (their words) but just 720p. Just shows its not all about 4/8k blah blah.

    I can't image I'll ever do any streaming myself but I'm finding it fascinating to learn how it's done. You make it look so slick and professional, but totally effortless 😉

    Love these streams, whether photography or the video/streaming ones. This one was good to see with the multiple cameras. And to be able to see your behind the scenes setup and how it works is great.
    A quick question, what is the switcher that Freya is using? Thanks in Advance.

      @GavinHoey  Před měsícem +1

      @@craig_aus Thanks for the kind words. Our main studio switcher is a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme. 8 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs, 2 USB outputs, headphone out, supersource pip... The list of features is as big as the price tag 😉

    If you want a cheaper way to switch easy. Using the first setup, plugging everything in to the computer. And then use an Elgato stream deck to change scenes (like the hotkey method) but can use a dedicated small device that can be used for many many things!

    • @PodgeeWheaverPhotography

      They also have an iPad app,(not sure if it works on iPhone) wired to a pc was lag free and didn’t have to spend a penny extra!

    • @GavinHoey
      @GavinHoey  Před měsícem

      Not sure that's cheaper than the first OBS "free" method but it's good to know there's plenty of alternatives out there. Elgato is a brand I've not tried but have heard many good things about 👍

      @@GavinHoey sorry I mean cheaper than the BMD version. But you set it up like the first version as it you’ll need the cheap hdmi dongles etc. but the app is free to use :)
