I was in a military convoy here stateside many moons ago I was driving a duece an half cargo, had a car playing games with me, What he didn't know was load I was carrying was considered a secure load. We were told not to let anything stop us (police cars in every town stopped traffic for us ) Captain seen what was going on and had his driver fall back to me and said get rid of him.
Guy in the car cuts me off again about 3 miles up the road and I grab 4th high and hit the gas, (35mph ) knocked him right into the ditch.
Captain radioed for MPs to come check it out, thats all I was told. scratched my bumper dammit! But it ruined me when I came back to civilian life, I couldn't start driving truck after I had the satisfaction of giving an idiot some payback with no repercussions.

i only did it once to a truck that was tailgating me on a two lane road at night. i was doing the speed limit so i guess he wanted to go 80 and for me to drive on the shoulder and let him pass, which i may have done in the daytime. i slowed him to nothing and left his ass sitting at the bottom of a hill. i was younger and dumber then, probably wouldn't do it now.

When my Dad taught me to drive when I was 16, the first lesson was - you always yield the right away to a trucker, always slow down and let them merge safely & if their turn signal stays on a and they have cleared you, blink your brights so they know you’re giving them the room to merge safely.
Then he took me out on the major highways near Cleveland Ohio during rush hour and at night and he first demonstrated to me the correct way and then made me do it night after night and day after day.
I have always had the utmost respect for truck drivers and I continue to drive the same way I was taught at the age of 16.

I had a 52" 300W LED light bar installed so I could park my trailer at night and see the stupid thing in the booneys. One day inwas heading to a job with trailer in tow and the road merged from 2 to 1 this idiot in a mustang tried flying past me on the right but the lane ended to soon and I didnt let him in since it would have put me into oncoming. We get to a light and he is slamming his horn, flicking me off the works. I just flipped the switch opened the lid and gave him a light show. Light turned green I shut the lid and drove on my wayward son. It's the little things in life.

-It's better to be right, crash and kill someone than acting sensible.
-When you're at fault, either drive away and act like nothing happened, lie about it like a scumbag or just blame everybody else.

Kyle Smith it takes a long time for one truck to pass another at 2 mph difference. A lot of times I just wait until there is a lot of space before I make a move such as this. But before you know it, they all just show up very quickly. I am governed at 66mph. In a 70mph zone it doesn’t take long for the faster traffic to catch up. Usually at 80+mph. But all I ask is keep in mind that this is not a race, first one there receives no cash reward or prize. Just your life and we all get to keep that when we relax. Thanks for understanding. I’ll get out of your way now.

What the general public doesn't understand is that different companies govern the speed of thier trucks at different speeds, and as a trucker it makes it really hard to pick and choose when we have to hit an opening to pass. If we don't take an opening to pass sometimes we could be stuck there for an hour fighting with another truck.

The pickup also seemed to have trouble staying in his lane and didnt seemed to care much for his own or anyone elses safety for that matter.

@@bryanfarrow914 It never fails to amaze me how blind people are when it comes to bike rider's. I've sat at stop signs and watch cars pull out in front of a motorcyclist when they are just a car length or so away. Dangerous and rude. We have a side road that turns off the highway nearby and it's a favorite for motorists to just barely slow down to stop or look. So a few of us got together and went to the Sheriff told them they needed to go watch. Didn't think they did until an off duty cop on his bike saw first hand what happens. A few tickets were written that day. Semi driver's dont fare much better. The 4 lane ends and goes to a 2 lane. Car's will speed up to pass the semi and then slow down. Or they pull out of a side road where the 4 lane and 2 lane meet and slow down.

I was a courier and drove 550 miles a week and came across the most horrible truck drivers ever. I put my life on the line everyday and got paid $11.35 an hour. The worst were from the companies WalMart and Swift. The best were actually a local company named Haney who had no idea that I also worked from Yakima.
